London and I looked towards the source of the voice. It was the beta of the werewolf nation, Judas, standing there with his eyes looking dark. I gasped when London was pulled away from me and Judas hugged her whilst burying his nose into her neck, inhaling her scent.

He pulled back and the dark look was slowly fading from his eyes.

Behind him, Alpha Mateo leaned on the wall with his arms folded as he watched the scene unfold in front of him. He glanced at me for a second before looking back to Judas and his mate– well London.

"I-I'm your mate?" She stuttered and Judas nodded, confirming her thoughts. She glanced at me and I gave her two thumbs up.

"Our stay is extended until tomorrow. We must inform Queen Athena of this decision." Alpha Mateo announced.

Just great.

"She's that way." I pointed in the direction in which we just came from and Alpha Mateo nodded.

Judas, London and I followed behind him and London strayed behind Judas to walk with me. She looked at me with wide eyes and I grinned at her.

"You found your mate." I whisper-yelled.

She nodded.

"And he's so hot, too! Like look at those muscles." London gushed and I laughed.

"He can hear you, you know." As if on cue, Judas looked around at London and winked at her.

London's cheeks went red and she looked down.

The walking suddenly came to a stop.

"Athenerrr, Miles." Alpha Mateo nodded at Miles in acknowledgment. "We're staying another day."

He didn't even ask.

Athena did mention that they're close friends so...

She nodded and Judas and London strolled away. London glanced at me before she left and I grinned. Alpha Mateo left, too, and Miles was still there.

"May I speak to you, your highness?" I asked her lowly, fixing my eyes on the ground. It's clear Miles didn't know she has a mate. If she did, we wouldn't be in this predicament — or maybe. I don't know.

Athena excused herself and Miles told her that they'd catch up later and she walked away.

When she was out of my sight, I looked up at Athena.

I didn't know what to say to her. All the thoughts I had before vanished when her red eyes stared into mine, affection swirling in her eyes.

"Yes, my love?"

"Make up your mind." I said to her.

"With what?" Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion and confusion swirled in her pretty eyes.

"You and Miles." I snapped.

"Wha—"

"You don't think I see how flirty she is with you? How she's always giggling and inching closer to you? Even when you were having lunch with Alpha Mateo and Beta Judas. The conversation only steered between you two. They were hardly included and guess what, Athena? Fucking guess. This isn't going to be another Diana situation so you," I jammed my finger in her chest, "pick! I'm not going to get my ass beaten again because I'm involved with you."

Her face fell at my words and she shook her head.

"I promise you it isn't what you see. She wasn't flirting with m—"
