Surprising enough, Athena and I spent the entire day yesterday watching movies together. I didn't even know when I fell asleep, but I did.

I woke up the next morning feeling well rested and stretched into a sitting position. I looked at the room and sighed.

Other mornings, I wouldn't be looking forward to cleaning this room but today I was. Probably because I was in here and you know...

I got up out of bed, putting on my shoes when realization hit me.

I haven't showered in two days.

Ewww.

I need to shower.

I stood, and just as I did, Athena entered the room and was in front of me before I could step off.

"Get back in bed."

"I have to w—"

"Get back in bed."

"Your highness—"

"Athena."

"I can't. "

"I wasn't asking. "

"Neither was I."

"Get back in the bed. Now. That's an order."

"I need to shower." I muttered.

"After you eat. You don't stink."

That was when I took notice to the tray that was in her hand.

That wasn't there a minute ago.

"How long until your blood is fully out of my body?" I asked.

I didn't want her to continue reading my mind.

"Tomorrow."

"Oh."

That's disappointing.

What if my mind decides to wander and think about her boobs? She'll hear how I think about her like a pervert.

"You do what now?" Athena raised her eyebrow and my eyes widened.

"No, no. Not like that, I swear—"

Athena laughed and she placed the tray on the bedside table.

"I'll stop prying in your mind."

I sighed and looked down at my shoes.

"Your high—"

"Athena." She cuts me off, reminding me that she said I could call her by her first name.

"I really need to shower. You might not think I stink but my hair probably looks like a bird nest and the gel must've left residue in my hair and I can't be looking like this. My hygiene—" Athena cut me off by covering my mouth.

"Go ahead." She said. "Bring your stuff here and shower in my bathroom."

Say what now?

You're joking.

"I'm not joking. Go."

Okay, ordering me like a dog I see.

"Get your stuff and come back, please." She smiled at me and I squinted my eyes at her.

"Stay out of my mind."

"Your thoughts are the loudest things in this room right now. I can't help it." She laughed and I blushed and looked away.

Her laugh is low-key pretty though—

I left the room and went down to the room where my batch stayed and I took up a pair of clothes, my toothbrush, my rag and my hair products. No one was in the room so no one saw me leave with anything.

I went back to her room, closing the door as I did and I saw her sitting on the edge of bed, waving her hand over the food as she muttered something.

"What are you doing?" I asked her.

"Keep it heated." Athena answered after finishing whatever chant she was doing.

"By waving your hand over my food?" I snorted.

"Yes. I put a spell on it to keep it warm for however long until the fork is taken up. When the fork is lifted then the spell slowly starts to break and it keeps the heat like any regular heated food." She explained and I looked at her confused.

Athena looked back at me with the same look.

"How'd you do that?"

Her face made one of realization.

"I'm a hybrid, part witch and part vampire."

My eyes widened.

For real?

"That's a story for another time. Go and shower, mama."

Mama?

MAMA?

MAMA?!—

Ma'am, I will let you slut me out if you call me that again.

Oh my god.

SHEESH.

Athena chuckled and tapped the side of her head and I rushed into the bathroom.

I keep forgetting.

I shook my head and closed the bathroom door and took my clothes off. I stepped in the shower after putting clothes on the toilet and looked on the many settings.

Um, let's see.

I turned the first knob that called out to me and water came on my back and I squealed and turned it off. The water was really cold. Looking for the red and blue knobs, I turned the red one and waited a bit before turning another knob. This time the water turned on from the side.

"It's the knob that's the highest." I heard Athena yelled from outside of the bathroom. "It comes down from the top. There's a shower cap in the cabinet." She added and I climbed out of the shower and tiptoed to the cabinet and took out the blue shower cap and put it on my head.

I shouted back 'thanks' and got in the shower and turned on the highest knob and water came from the top, the entire ceiling of the shower.

I questioned why she had so many settings of shower heads but didn't let it linger on my mind for too long.

Ooh this is the life.
