I looked at Lauren with unease. The plan she wanted me to carry out was risky, especially knowing that Athena doesn't play about her.

Nightfall came quickly, as if wanting me my death to come quicker than anticipated. I sighed and Lauren grinned when she walked down the corridor.

"You know she would warm up to the idea of drinking from you sooner or later."

"Im disappointed to hear that from you. You're her sister, you're supposed to know her better than me to know that she would never willingly drink from me."

Well, she wasn't lying.

I just wanted to back out on this plan.

I didn't like it but its for the best.

"You know, we didn't do the girls day correct." She started as we headed towards Athena's room. "I mean there isn't a specific way a girls day should go. All we did was shop. We were supposed to go to the spa, get our nails done, hair done and all that."

"Shopping exhausted us." I pointed out and she did a back and forth hand movement.

"Kind of."

We arrived to Athena's floor and with my super hearing, I could hear her turning in the bed back and forth continuously. In this state, Lauren couldn't sleep with her.

"Ready?"

Lauren nodded and I looked at her hair.

"You have nothing for me to pull to hold your head back." I pointed out. Her hair was in stitched cornrows.

"Just," she sighed. "find something."

I sighed and extended my fangs from my gums. I dragged my tongue over them and licked my lips. I grabbed her and dragged her to Athena's room door. I pushed it open and Athena snapped her head to us.

I pulled Lauren into my body and she gasped softly.

"Look at your state." I snapped at her.

Her eyes were dark red, signalling blood lust, and dark veins surrounded her eyes. Her fangs weren't extended but I could tell she was fighting her inner beast.

"You're hungry." I motioned to Lauren with my head. "Feed from the girl."

Athena shook her head.

"Both of you get out." Her voice came out as gruff and I grabbed Lauren tightly and pushed her neck to the side.

Her pulse beated rapidly against her neck and I leaned down to her neck, dragging my tongue over her pulse point.

"I'll feed from her for you."

"Don't you fucking dare." Athena got up. She almost lost her balance but held on to the bedside table for balance.

She looks... weak and fragile.

This isn't the Athena I knew.

She was torturing herself by not feeding on Lauren. I'm sure she remembered the first time her beast came alive inside of her, how much blood she shed, how many people she killed just for her hunger to be satisfied.

I ripped Lauren's flesh from her neck and her blood ran down her neck rapidly.

Lauren cried out in pain and she gripped my pants in pain. I tasted her blood, placing my lips over her wound. I made sure to not make my fangs dig into her skin.
