"Is there actually a way?" (F/n) asked.
"Of course there is. UA has connections, resources. I will not let the current situation end the starting career of one of my most promising students." Nezu said.
Aizawa nodded, "(Y/n) is quirkless. Not helpless. I'm sure we can get create a suit that will act almost identical to the mask all we need is a little time—"
"No." (M/n) said in a cold voice.
The room went quiet.
"This isn't our choice to make. It's (Y/n)'s. They chose the hero path because of the mask... Now the mask is..." (M/n) shook her head, "Whether they continue or stop here it's their choice not yours," She clutched the fabric of her long skirt, "I won't let you!"
(F/n) took a deep breath in through his nose, "My wife is correct. Like she always is. It's not up to us what (Y/n) does with their life. If they say they want to come home, I'm sorry... but we're taking them with us."
Nezu knew better than to argue, they had a point, not to mention they were (Y/n)'s parents. He couldn't force (Y/n) to stay if they wanted to leave.
And as much as it'd pain Aizawa to let (Y/n) go, if that is what they choose, he'd accept whatever they decided.
They all just needed to give (Y/n) time.
Time to grieve.
Time to feel up to making a choice.
Time (Y/n) had been spent confined inside their dorm with Shinso and Carrot (who decided to stick around for (Y/n) for a bit longer than he expected when he first came) guarding it from the outside.
Of course the class had tried on many occasions to try and check on (Y/n), but they were met with threats of physical violence by the two boys.
The class was forced to back down very very begrudgingly.
Both boys would take turns going inside to bring (Y/n) food and gently tried to coax them outside of the room.
Today it was Carrot's turn.
"Knock, knock, Cistus~!" Carrot half-sung as he entered the room.
The room was dark and there was no response. It was almost quiet... save for the sound of (Y/n) gently hitting the wooden box where the Nomicon and broken mask had been kept in with the key that unblocked said box.
Carrot shrugged it off, "You remember those pancakes we used to make when we were little? Mix mini marshmallows into the batter, cover them in chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and an unholy amount of sprinkles? That's what we made today! Shin helped." He sets the plate on top of the box, "Ta-da~!"
(Y/n) reached out from under the blanket and ruffled Carrot's hair, just like back in the old times. To their credit, they had been eating consistently.
"You know~... There's this new horror movie in the nearby theater. Maybe you wanna go watch it? We'll bring 'Yami along~" Carrot said, as he went around the room picking up the dirty plates.
No response.
Carrot held in a disappointed sigh, "Maybe some other time then." He leaned over and sidehugged (Y/n), "Let me know if you change your mind, Cistus. Love you." He then proceeded to walk out of the room.
(Y/n) let out a loud exhale as soon as they heard the door close before starting to slowly eat.
This dish was very nostalgic and to be honest while eating (Y/n) could almost taste the pity in it.
