The Flower and Major

Part 5

I slowly blink my eyes open but quickly close them due to the blinding light in the room. I felt a cold hand brush across my wrist. I opened my eyes again and prepared for a bright light. I saw a beautiful blonde doctor standing over me. He gave me a gentle smile.

"I see that you're awake Miss. Swan." He says. "You've seemed to have fainted from shock.

"Where's Bella?" I panicked. "Is she alright?"

"Shh, Lily." Dad's voice says from my right as he brushed my hair. "She's alright, she's perfectly safe." 

"Where is she?" I whispered turning to Dad.

"She's at school, on a field trip." He says. "You've been asleep for almost an entire day." 

I nodded slowly sitting up with the help of Dad. He brushed his hands through my hair giving me a gentle smile. I noticed Rosalie and Emmett sitting in a small chair on my other side. Rosalie had a look of relief on her features along with Emmett.

"Now, Lily." The doctor says. "Have you been taking your anxiety medicine?" 

"No." I sighed shaking my head. "I don't like how they make me feel." 

"Lily." Dad sighed. "You've gotta take them." 

"No." I say sternly. "If it was my anxiety that caused me to faint, I don't care, I don't like the way the meds made me feel." 

"It's your choice." The doctor nodded. "I have some research that can help you with your anxiety."

"There's something different about the Cullen's." Bella sighed as I laid beside her in bed.

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"When the van was about to crush me, Edward suddenly appeared there and literally pushed the van away." Bella says. "It's like he has super strength." 

"Bella, are you sure you didn't hit your head?" I asked.

Bella just groaned throwing her face into her pillow mumbling something. I let out a giggle at her actions before flicking my wrist causing the light to flick off.

"I'm sleeping here." I stated. "I don't want to get up." 

Bella let out a laugh before yawning. We both slipped under the covers.

I followed Bella to her lunch table. I had decided to sit with her today to spend time with her.

"La Push baby, you girls in?" Eric questioned us.

"Are we supposed to know what La Push is?" Bella questioned.

"La Push is the beach on the Reservation where Billy and Jake live." I explained to my twin.

"We're going after school, you two should join us." Angela says with a smile. "There's whale watching." 

"I can't." I shrugged sitting down. "I'm going shopping with Alice and Rose." 

Jessica sent me a glare causing me to roll my eyes. Jealous much? Bella agreed to go after asking Eric to stop saying it weirdly. She walked away to make herself a salad at the salad bar. I pulled out my sketchbook and started adding finishing touches to my sketch of Rose and Emmett. 

"Look." I heard Mike hiss in jealousy. 

I looked up at him to see him looking toward where Bella had gone. She was having what seemed like an actual conversation with Edward. I rolled my eyes at Mike and turn back to my sketchbook. 

"She's such an attention whore." Jessica hissed causing me to turn to her.

"What the actual fuck did you say?" I snapped.

"She. Is. An. Attention. Whore." Jessica replied.

I stood up from my seat walking over and grab her brown hair tightly in my hands and yank her out of her seat. She let out a scream. I punched her in the face before someone pulled me off of her. I let out an angered yell lurching forward trying to get to Jessica who was on the floor crying with her hands on her bloody nose.

"Calm down, Flower." Jasper says in my ear.

I somehow started feeling calm but I started pushing those feelings away letting my rage take over. No one talks about my twin at all.

"Lily Swan! My office, now!" The Principal, Miss. Peters called out. "Mr. Hale could you escort her." 

"Yes Ma'am." He says.

I let out an angered scream as Jasper threw me over his shoulder. I spot vaguely Maggie grabbing my things before Jasper and I were out of the cafeteria. As we walked away from the cafeteria I started to calm down. I just let my arms dangle while Jasper carried me. Jessica just made my blood boil. 

Soon enough I sat in front of the Principal's desk. She had a stern look on her face thanking Jasper as he walked out. I huffed crossing my arms leaning into myself. Miss. Peters started typing on her computer for a few minutes. I glanced up as the door opened. Dad walked in looking scarily calm. I quickly look away curling more into myself as he walked over sitting down beside me. 

"Chief, the reason I called you in is because, Miss. Lily got into a fight today." Miss. Peters says.

I kept my eyes on the floor as I felt Dad's boring into the side of my head.

"Lily Helen Swan." Dad says calmly. "Why did you get into a fight?"

"She called Bella an attention whore." I whispered. "You can ask Angela Webber." 

"Since this is her first fight and first time in trouble, I'm letting you off with a warning." Miss. Peters says. "Next time it will be suspension, Chief, if you'd like you can take Lily home for the rest of the day."

"Come on." Dad grunted patting my shoulder.

I silently stood from my seat following Dad out the office. As we stepped into the hall Maggie was there holding my things. 

"I thought you may need these, Lily." She says.

"Thank you." I whispered taking them.

Dad lead me into the house shutting the door.

"Lily, you know that the Stanley's could press charges?" Dad questioned. "You're grounded for a week, no shopping tonight, am I clear?"

"Yes, Sir." I whispered before rushing off upstairs to my room.
