Bella and I entered the small cafe where we were meeting Dad for dinner. Dad looked up as we sat on either side of him. He gave us a nod as we smiled.

"Hey, Dad." I smiled kissing his cheek.

Dad blushed causing Bella and I to laugh. The waitress smiled at us as she set food in front of us. Bella gotten a cheeseburger and fries while I had gotten a salad. Bella and I look at each other before switching plates with a slight laugh.

"Bella's a vegetarian." I explained to a confused waitress.

"Oh my!" She says. "I'm sorry, I didn't know which was which."

"It's fine." Bella smiled. "Our Mother sometimes would confuse which one of us was a vegetarian."

"I still can't believe how grown up you two are." The waitress smiled changing the subject. "And so beautiful."

A man popped up behind the waitress smiling at the both of us. Bella and I quickly shoot a look before the man started speaking.

"'Member me, honies?" He asked. "I played Santa one year."

"Waylon." Dad huffed. "The girls haven't had a Christmas here since they were four."

"Bet I made an impression though." Waylon grinned. "The kids loved those little bottles."

"Yeah butt crack Santa." The waitress mumbled causing us to laugh. "Now, let the girls eat their cheeseburger and salad in peace. I'll bring you out berry cobbler, your favorite. Your Dad has it every other Thursday."

The waitress gave us both one last smile before walking away shooing off Waylon. I grabbed my burger taking a big bite from it. Bella groaned in disgust while Dad chuckled at her reaction. I giggled as Bella reached for the salt and Dad reached for the steak sauce bumping hands. Dad quickly hands her the salt before taking the steak sauce.

"How was school, girls?" He asked.

"It was okay." Bella shrugged.

"I made new friends." I smiled while wiping my mouth.

"Hey, do you know the Cullen's?" Bella asked suddenly.

"Are people talking about them again?" Dad groaned. "This town is lucky that Mrs. Cullen wanted to live somewhere quiet and small. Dr. Cullen's the best doctor we have, and their kids aren't running around wrecking havoc."

Bella and I looked at Dad slightly wide eyed.

"No, well kinda." Bella says.

"Those are the friends I made today." I shrugged.

Dad gave me a smile.

"Do you eat here every night?" Bella asked changing the topic.

"Yeah, better than doing the dishes." Dad shrugged.

"We can cook." I chimed in.

"We had to learn how to cook, Mom wasn't the best at it." Bella shrugged.

"Yeah, I remember." Dad says laughing along with us.

I sat beside Bella in her bed doing our homework. We were currently on the phone with Mom.

"If spring training goes well then we may be in Jacksonville permanently-- to continue this conversation please insert fifty cents-" Mom was interrupted by a robotic voice.

"Momma, where's your cell?" I questioned.

"Don't laugh." Mom sighed. "The charger cord ran away screaming, I literally repel technology now."

Bella and I let out a laugh at that.

"So how's school going?" Mom asked. "Any cute boys?"

"They're all very welcoming." Bella huffed.

"What? What happened?" Mom questioned.

"Look, Mom we've got a lot of homework to do." Bella says slamming her binder shut. "We'll call you later."

Bella hung up before Mom could reply throwing her cell down on the bed. I turned fully toward her.

"Isabella, what happened in school today?" I questioned.

"In biology when I sat down beside Edward he scooted away and had his hand over his mouth and nose as if I stunk." Bella sighed. "Then when I went to the main office before you had came in after I had stormed off he was trying to switch out of Bio."

"I'm gonna kill him." I growled.

"No, please don't Lil." She says.

"You like him." I say my eyes widen. "Bella, you've never liked anyone and I mean anyone."

I sighed walking through the halls of the school to head to first period. My helmet tucked underneath my arm. I forgot I had it until in the school and was going to put it in my locker but the stupid school lockers where too small. I plop down in my seat beside Jasper. He gave me a smile as I set my helmet down between us on the table.

"Good morning, ma'am." Jasper smirked at me.

"Good morning, kind sir." I grinned right back.

Edward didn't show up to school for a week. It utterly pissed me off. Bella had been so anxious about confronting him that she may not. Sighing, I walked into bio with Maggie. Bella had walked in with Mike and Eric since she always sat with the at lunch. I stopped almost dead in my tracks seeing Edward sitting at his and Bella's table. He looked up and gave me a slight smile which I glared in return.

I brushed past his table to Maggie and I's. Once the bell rang Mr. Molina stepped in front of the class.

"Today, we are studying onion root tip cells." He says. "The first partners to finish correctly wins the golden onion!"

He held up a spray painted onion excitedly as the class groaned. Maggie and I grin at each other before cheering. Mr. Molina gave the both of us thankful smiles before telling us to get started. I let out a sigh putting my chin on my palm.

"I've already studied this." I say to Maggie. "In Phoenix."

"I'll do it and you write down the answers." She suggested causing me to grin at her.

I smiled slightly as Maggie and I followed behind Bella and Edward who were talking. Clutched in Bella's hand was the golden onion. She and Edward had got it about a minute before Maggie and I. I was about to walk outside when Alice appeared in front of Maggie and I.

"We should go shopping!" She says looking at me.

"Of course." I grinned. "How about this weekend?"

Alice let out a squeal clapping her hands.. There was the sudden sound of tires screeching. I looked past Alice's shoulder to see Tyler's van coming toward Bella. I raised my hands about to stop the van but realized I could get in trouble for using my powers. I saw the van smack into Bella's truck before everything went black.
