The Flower and Major

Part 23

"Are you going to invite her?" Dad asked.

I sighed running my hands over my face. I haven't really thought of that yet. Dad and I were sitting in the living room watching the game. I'm guessing its a random thought he had. Learning further back into the sofa I thought about it.

"Yeah." I nodded. "She may have disowned me but she's still my Mother."

Dad nodded pulling me over to his side kissing my temple. The door opened and shut causing me to look up seeing it was Jasper. He smiled at me as he took a seat on my other side. Both men went to watching the game in silence. Playfully, I rolled my eyes standing up from the couch.

"Well, I'm going to go make dinner." I say.

I walked out of the living room and into the kitchen to start on dinner. I was making steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. One of the steaks were tofu for Bella. As I was about to start peeling potatoes Bella walked into the house. I gave her a smile nodding toward the living room. She smiled back about to step in there. I laugh slightly as I watched her face fill with shock at Jasper and Dad watching the game.

"Dinner!" I called out.

Dad and Bella emerged from the living room taking a seat at the table. Jasper had left a bit ago to hunt and play video games with Emmett. I set their plates on the table before getting Dad a beer, Bella and I a glass of Dr. Pepper. I took my seat between the two. Bella looked at her tofu steak frowning.

"You know I'm a vegetarian." She says confused.

"Bella, it's tofu steak." I giggled. "No meat in it."

"Really?" Dad asked. "It looks like a real steak."

I laughed as we started eating dinner.

Bella walked back into the house looking annoyed. I raised a brow at her while I was washing the dishes. Jasper who had came back over was beside me helping me.

"What's up?" I asked. "thought you were going to see Jacob."

"My truck won't start." Bella mumbled. "Edward done something to it."

"Do you still want to go or are you too annoyed?" I asked her.

"Too annoyed." She sighed. "I'm just going to bed."

"Alright, goodnight."

"Night." Bella mumbled.

"I'll look at the truck before I leave." Jasper says. "May have a little word with Edward."

"Thank you." Bella smiled at him.

I smiled giving Jasper a sweet kiss.

I sat between Jasper and Bella at lunch. Angela was addressing a bunch of note card envelopes and Mike was writing on a legal pad.

"My fellow students. Cool right?" He read aloud. "Wow okay, we are the future. Anything is possible if you just believe."

"Nice." Angela says.

"She's just trying not to hurt your feelings." I snorted. "That was really cheesy."

"You've got yourself a perfect speech." He says ignoring my comment.

He ripped the page out handing it over to Jessica.
