I walked out of my room as soon as I heard Bella's door shut. I walked over to her room entering to see her on her computer. I plop down on the bed behind her. She glanced at me giving me a small smile.

"How was the beach?" I asked her.

"Good." She says. "I convinced Jessica not to press charges. You broke her nose by the way."

I nodded looking over her shoulder at what she was looking up. It had a weird creature eating a human.

"Bella, what the hell are you looking up?" I questioned.

"I had seen Jake at La Push and he told me a story about Cold Ones." Bella shrugged. "It had me curious. But these articles don't really explain it."

"There's a bookstore in Port Angeles." I tell her. "See if they have one."

"Do you know where it is?" She asked me.

"Here move." I say grabbing the back of her computer chair and pushing it to the side.

I go to google and type in the search bar; 'Thunderbird & Whale Books Story Port Angeles, Washington'. I hit search and click on the link to their website. I grabbed Bella's post it notes and quickly jolt down the address to the store handing it to Bella.

"Oh, thanks." She says. "But you didn't need to push me."

I just chuckled slightly at her plopping back on the bed. There was a knock on her bedroom door so Bella quickly existed the website telling Dad to come in. Dad opened the door looking relieved.

"Lily, I just got off the phone with Angela Webber." Dad says. "She called to tell me that you were speaking the truth and Jessica did call Bella that. So I'm un-grounding you. You did what was right."

"Oh thank God!" I grinned at him. "Thank you, Dad!"

"You're welcome Kiddo." He says.

I sat beside Bella who along with Jessica sat on a picnic table outside. Today was warm and sunny. My head was tilted back as I soaked up a bit of the rays. Bella had a book opened in her lap but I can see her looking around the parking lot. Probably in search of Edward.

"They're not here." Jessica says. "Whenever the weathers nice they skip."

"So they just ditch?" I asked her confused.

"No." Jessica shook her head. "Dr. and Mrs. Cullen pull them out for the day to take them camping or hiking. Tried it out on my parents but not even close."

I nodded glancing over at Bella who seemed to have a curious look on her face before going back to her book. Suddenly Angela practically jumped in the three of our laps.

"I did it!" She says. "I asked Eric to prom! I took control!"

"I told you, that you could do it." Bella smiled which made me smile.

Jessica and Angela started to ramble about dress shopping and hoping her nose would be heeled by the time of prom.

"Port Angeles?" Bella questioned. "Mind if we come?"

"Well duh." Angela says. "We need your opinions."

Bella sat in front of Angela and Jessica as they were trying on dresses. I was looking at a beautiful choker. The worker smiled at me pulling it out of the glass case. She nodded to me.

"May I?" She asked.

I smiled turning around lifting my hair to let her put it on me. I turned around to look in the small mirror. It was beautiful. The woman grinned widely as she handed me an arm band that was similar to the choker. I grinned quickly handing her the money for it before turning to my sister and friends noticing Bella putting on her coat.

"Where are you going?" I asked her.

"Bookstore." She says with a half smile.

"I'll come." I say. "If that's okay with you girls?"

They both nodded with small smiles. Bella and I head out of the dress shop.

"Thank you." I smiled at the cashier before we walked out of the store. Bella and I linked arms while we walked down to the parking lot.

I had this eerie feeling that something was going to happen. Bella led us through a shady looking alley claiming it was a shortcut. We stop seeing two guys smirking at us holding beers. My eyes widen as I grip onto Bella's arm tighter.

"Look what we have here boys." One of the guys says.

Bella and I quickly turn around rushing back to the parking lot. We were suddenly surrounded by drunk men. My eyes widen in fear as I grip tighter onto Bella's hand.

"Don't touch me." Bella cried out.

I stood there doing nothing. My mind had went blank. A car suddenly swerved in front of us. Let go! A voice said in my head. I took a deep breath throwing my hands out causing the men to fly across the parking lot hitting Jasper and Edward in the process. I was breathing heavily as Jasper gently gripped my hand pulling me toward his Mustang. He gently helped me into the passenger seat buckling my seat belt for me before he got in himself.

He took off down the road at a very fast speed. I glance in the rear view mirror and saw Edward and Bella following. I felt waves of calm hit me and turn to Jasper.

"You're doing that?" I asked him.

"Doing what?" He questioned.

"You're sending calming waves somehow." I say quietly.

Jasper sighed nodding placing his cold hand on my thigh squeezing it gently. I sighed leaning my head against his arm. Jasper pulls into a parking spot outside the restaurant we were supposed to be meeting Jess and Angela. I shook my head quietly.

"I just want to go home." I say with tears in my eyes.

"Alright, Suga'." He says. "Let me tell your sister."

Jasper climbed out of the car after putting it in park. I brought my knees to my chest as I started to breathe heavily. Their Vampires. The Cullens are Vampires.
