The Flower and Major

Part 52

I sat in Jasper's lap smiling at the girls. It was Christmas and we were spending it with Dad and Sue.

"The snow is sticking." I heard Bella whisper. 

"Hey." Edward whispered back. "We still have today." 

"All right!" Dad grinned walking into the room. "Present time! Let's go! Seth, Leah, Paul, stop eating. Jake, you start. Get it going." 

I smiled at Bella and Edward as they took a seat beside Jasper and I. We looked at Jake as he passed a gift for each of the girls. They excitedly tore into them Renesmee grinned excitedly  along with Rosie before they both tackled Jacob in a hug. I laughed loudly at Jacob's groan.

"Dad, we didn't have time to wrap yours, but here it is." Bella stood up handing Dad the five day fishing trip to Fraser River. 

"It's a five day fishing trip to the Fraser River." I explained. "It's for you and Sue." 

"Y'all leave tomorrow." Jasper smirked hugging my waist tighter.

"Wow, that's really nice." Dad grinned at us. "Thank you. Tomorrow? I can't leave tomorrow." 

"I made arrangements for you at work." Sue smirked sitting in his lap. 

"Sneaky." Dad grinned. "And extravagant." 

"And non-refundable, I'm afraid." Edward explained. 

"You four trying to get rid of me?" Dad asked. "Is it a vampire thing?" 

I solemnly nodded before Dad had cleared his throat grinning brightly.

"Well it's working." Dad grinned. "Fraser River. That means we'll be chasing Cutthroat." 

"You might hook some Rainbow." I grinned at Dad. 

"Or even some Bulls." Sue grinned at me. 

"Woman knows her trout." Dad grinned at Sue before turning to me. "I raised you right." 

Bella scoffed as I giggled dodging her whack. 

Rosie rushed over to Jasper and I holding her gift in her hands with an excited smile.

"What'd you get, baby?" I asked her.

She opened her hand brandishing a beautiful necklace.

"Is it from Jake?" I asked with a smile.

"Yeah!" She grinned. "This one's from Paulie." 

She held up a bracelet with roses as she clambered up onto Jasper and I's laps. I giggled as she thrusts the jewelry in my direction.

"Could you help me put them on, Momma?" She asked. "Please." 

"Of course, baby." I smiled. "Why don't you have Daddy put the bracelet on." 

Rosie smiled holding her hand out to her father as I gave him the bracelet. I put the necklace on Rosie's neck kissing her hair gently. I looked up being blinded by a flash. I turned to see Dad smirking holding Bella's camera. 

"Wait, that's mine!" Bella gasped.

"Mine now." Dad smirked. "You left it here."

We were setting up camp in the woods. Jake and Paul were collecting firewood for a bonfire. I turned to Edward and Jasper who were speaking with Carlisle. I walked over giving Jasper a kiss before heading to the tent Renesmee and Rosie were in. Bella sat between the girls smiling at them. It was a sad one. I sighed taking a seat in front of my twin smiling at the two girls who were on the verge of tears.
