The Flower and Major

Part 45

I was laying on Jasper's bare chest while we looked out the giant window by our bed. The sun was starting to rise. I sat up quickly grinning at Jasper who grinned right back.

"I want to go see my baby girl." I say excited.

He laughed as I disappeared into the closet. When he entered I was already dressed and ready for the day. Jasper let out a growl before pulling me into a kiss. I giggled pulling away while patting his chest.

"Get dressed." I laugh. "I wanna see Rosie." 

Jasper pecked my lips once more before getting dressed. Once he was fully dressed he grabbed my hand and we took off out the house. I smiled as we met Edward and Bella across the stream. We all four walked into the Cullen house. 

"Wow, you guys done already?" Emmett snorted while reading the paper. 

"Where's the girls?" Jacob says looking out the window. "Emmett has Rosie."

I turned to Emmett who lifted the paper and I smiled at my little girl. She reached for me causing me to scoop her up into my arms. I press a sweet kiss to her cheek as she giggled. 

"Break a lot of stuff?" Emmett asked causing me to roll my eyes. 

"Emmett." Bella sighed. "No." 

Emmett and Jasper chuckled. My head snaps up at the sound of the phone ringing.

Is that Charlie? I heard Bella think. 

"Yes." I say as I turned toward Bella. "He's been calling twice a day from what Jasper had told me." 

Everyone's eyes snapped toward me. Bella's was wide while the others seemed confused. 

"What?" I asked.

"You can read my mind?" Bella asked.

"Yeah." I shrugged. "I can probably penetrate whatever power you have." 

"When you read her mind, yours goes into the radio silence I get from Bella." Edward says to me. 

"Anyway." Paul says snapping us out of our conversation. "He's in pretty rough shape." 

"What does he think happened to you, Lily?" Bella asked.

"Nothing." I shrugged. "He thinks that Jasper and I are traveling the world, off the grid." 

"Eventually, we'll have to tell him you didn't make it." Carlisle sighed walking into the room. 

I smiled as Rosie reached out for Carlisle with an excited look in her eyes. Carlisle smiled opening his hands for the little hybrid. I laughed as she practically threw herself from my arms into Carlisle's.

"She's a grandpa's girl." I giggled.

This is going to kill him. Bella thought. I snapped my eyes to her as I projected what I just heard into Edward's mind. 

"He needs to mourn, Bella." Edward says to her. 

The Wolves nodded in agreement to Edward's statement. 

"Okay, we'll do it tomorrow." Bella says pain in her voice. 

I walked over rubbing my hand along her arm.

"Don't worry." I say gently. "I'll always keep tabs on him, he's getting pretty close to Sue." 

"I'm gonna miss this place." Emmett sighed setting the paper down.

"We'll come back." Carlisle says to him. "We always do." 

"Wait." Jacob says. "Nobody said anything about leaving."
