The Flower and Major

Chapter 26

I sat on the floor beside Angela. Bella and I were helping her invitations for graduation. Bella stood at the window staring out.

"U. W. sent me and Eric our door assignments yesterday." Angela says glancing at Bella and I. "I'm in the furthest dorm from campus. Eric's the closest. Has Alaska assigned you any dorms yet, Bella?"

"Not yet." Bella shook her head.

"What are you doing after graduation?" Angela turned to me.

"Getting married." I smiled happily. "Jasper and I may go to Paris for a year."

"Wait, you're engaged?" Angela gasped. "Since when?"

"September twelfth." I say. "Speaking of which, I know I want Bella to be my maid of honor, but will you be my other bridesmaid?"

"Of course." She smiled brightly. "Where are Edward and Jasper tonight?"

"Out looking for trouble." Bella says causing me to shoot her a look.

"Is something wrong?" Angela asked, concerned.

"No, why?" Bella questioned.

"Well for one, Edward and Jasper are always with you two." Angela says sitting up. "and for two, you, Bella, you keep looking out the window like you're hoping for Edward to show up with a mariachi band."

"On that note, I'm gonna head to bed." I say giggling as I get up from the floor heading to my bedroom.

"I don't get why I couldn't drive myself." I pouted from the backseat of Edward's car.

"Because, Major doesn't want you hurt." Edward stated as he pulled up to the treaty line. "Doesn't he own a shirt?"

"Wolves and shirts don't go well." I say. "Oh, there's Paul!"

I clambered out of the car rushing over to Paul who laughed when I jumped on him. Bella rolled her eyes playfully at us as she walked over to Jacob. 

"Come on, Paul." I say. "I want to see Emily before the bonfire." 

"Alright, hold your horses woman." He says setting me down. 

I grinned as I climbed into the bed of his truck while he got into the drivers seat. I flipped off Edward who yelled at me to get into the truck. Paul did a U-turn and started to speed toward the Rez, I stood in the bed of the truck screaming with joy as the wind whipped my hair around.

Paul stopped the truck outside of Sam and Emily's place. Emily came outside with a big grin. I smiled focusing on air letting it lift me from the back of the truck and glide me safely on the ground in front of Emily. Emily looked at me in awe.

"How did you do that?" She asked.

"With the elements." I giggled. "Here let me try something." 

I focused on wind again letting it surround Emily before focusing on Earth imagining flowers braided into Emily's hair. Once the wind died down the Wolves minus Jake were gawking at Emily.

"Okay now that was awesome." Sam laughed. "Is that how you landed on me lightly?"

"What do you mean, landed on you?" Emily asked.

"Oh, we forgot to tell her." I giggled. "When the pack was chasing Victoria I was with the Cullen's chasing after her as well. She leapt over the ravine so both Alice and I convinced Jasper to throw me across to the Quileute Reservation. I ended up landing on Sam's back, I was planning on using my elemental power to land safely on the ground. But shockingly Sam ended underneath me catching me with ease."

"You could've got hurt." Emily huffed smacking my arm. "Come, you are helping me make some dessert for tonight."

I smiled at Seth as he excitedly ran toward where Bella and Jacob were walking up. I was following not far behind. He idolized my God brother for some ungodly reason.

"Jake!" Seth grinned like an excited puppy. "Hey, it's about time you got here. Paul's been hoovering the grub. But I saved you some burgers."

"Good looking out, Lily you didn't try to stop Paul?" He asked.

"Nah, I died when he didn't chew fully and started to choke." I shrugged.

"Bella this is Seth Clearwater, Leah's brother." Jake introduced.

"Yep, this little puppy is the newest member of the pack." I smiled ruffling the younger boys hair as he whined batting at my hands.

"Newest, bestest, and brightest." Seth grinned.

"And slowest." Jake says.

I step back as Jake pulled Seth into a headlock and the both of them tumble into the sand. I gave my twin a smile linking arms with hers. She smiled back resting her head on my shoulder. I know that all of this was stressing her out. My eyes snapped up at the sound of a whistle. It was Sam I'm pretty sure. I laughed slightly as Seth literally bounced up from the ground.

"Come on." Seth grinned. "Your Dad's starting."

"Race you there, Seth." I grinned at the boy.

We both took off into a full sprint toward the circle. I focused on Earth hitting it up slightly making Seth trip and face plant while I cackled rushing up to Paul taking a seat beside him.

"You cheated!" Seth whined.

"The Quileutes have been a small tribe from the beginning." Uncle Billy started. "But we've always had magic in our blood. We were great spirit warriors.. shape shifters, that transformed into the powerful wolf. This enabled us to scare off our enemies, and protect our tribe. One day our warriors came across a creature. It looked like a man, but it was hard like stone, cold as ice..."

Uncle Billy looked between Bella and I causing shivers to run down my spine.

"Our Warriors' sharp teeth, finally tore it apart but only fire would tear it apart." Uncle Billy continued.

Uncle Billy's soothing voice started to drown out as my eyes grew heavy. I finally let sleep overcome me snuggled into Paul's side.
