The Flower and Major

Part 38

I sat beside Bella at the reception. I smiled squeezing her hand causing her to smile back at me. I cackled seeing Emmett walk onto the stage.

"Excuse me." He says into the microphone. "Is this on? Hello? Umm, I'd like to propose a toast. To my new sister. Bella, I hope you've gotten enough sleep these last eighteen years. 'Cause you won't be getting any more for a while. That also includes you too, Lily Helen."

"Oi!" I called out. "no need for the middle name!"

People laughed slightly as he stepped off stage. Bella and I both roll our eyes at each other as Jessica went to make a toast.

"Well, Bella was just like everybody else, totally mesmerized by Edward." She says. "Or, 'the hair,' as I call him. And then, suddenly Edward is all about Bella. Even though she's not the captain of the volleyball team."

I sent her the most evil glare I could muster and she stuttered before saying a few more words.

"I'm just kidding." Jessica says. "I'm just kidding."

Bella let out a groan as Dad walked onto the stage.

"Edward will be a good husband." He says. "I know this because I'm a cop. I know things. Like how to hunt somebody to the ends of the Earth. And use a gun."

"Dad, that's the only thing I think you know." I called out as Bella cackled.

"Oi!" He playfully glared toward me. "I'm a smart man, Helen."

"Oh yeah?" Bella called out. "What's two hundred and fifty five times three hundred and sixty?"

"What? I don't think anyone knows that." Dad groaned. "Why are you two teaming up on me?"

Everyone laughed as he went to his seat. Alice stepped up onto the stage.

"Now that you're my sister, you'll have to get over your aversion to fashion." Alice says. "Skirts, hells, handbags."

Mom sang some lullaby causing her to cringe sinking into her seat.

"What the hell is she singing?" I questioned my twin.

"The song she sang to us every night as a child?" Bella whispered back.

"She's never sang me a song." I say quietly. "I usually was told to go to bed and be quiet."

Esme walked onto the stage next smiling at both Bella and I.

"You look beautiful, Momma!" I called out to her.

"Why thank you, Sweetheart." She smiled at me. "I'd like to thank Renee and Charlie for bringing two wonderful people to the world and into our lives. We will cherish and protect them forever."

I stood up causing Bella to moan in pre-embarrassment. I walked onto the stage smirking at everyone.

"Hello, everyone." I smiled. "As you know, I'm the older twin sister of Bella. I want to thank Edward for everything he has done for Isa. I think it's funny that we ended up getting married to people in the same family. I can't wait for the years to come where we can team up on Edward, Emmett, and Jasper to torture them. Congrats guys. Also, Edwerdio I'll murder you if you hurt my sister."

Everyone laughed as I was about to exit the stage before I popped over to the mic.

"One more quick thing." I grinned. "The answer is ninety one thousand and eight hundred."

I giggled as Dad glared at me while I made my way off the stage taking Edward's outstretch hand to help me down the steps before he went up. I sat down in Jasper's lap instead of my seat. He kissed my temple as I smiled at Bella.

"It's an extraordinary thing to meet someone who you can bare your soul to. And who will accept you for what you are. I've been waiting, what seems to be like a very long time, to get beyond what I am. And with Bella, I feel like I can finally begin. So I'd like to propose a toast to my beautiful bride. No measure of time with you will be long enough. But let's start with forever."

I rubbed Bella's arm as she sniffled a bit.

"Here, Seth." I grinned while handing him a glass of champagne. 

"Mom?" He asked turning to Sue. 

"I'll allow it this once." She says as we both share a knowing look. 

Dad opened his mouth probably to warn him to drink it slow but Seth threw his head back drinking it in one go. He cringed harshly as Paul laughed loudly with Jasper.

"That's disgusting." He groaned. 

"Come on." Emmett says and I was suddenly in his arms doing a waltz. 

"I hate you." I laughed. "And who knew you could dance." 

He glared at me playfully as he spun me. When he went to spin me back in I was sucked into a vision falling into his chest.

I held a beautiful baby in my arms. It  was a beautiful mixture of Jasper and I. Carlisle stepped into the room with a smile on his face. 

"With the calculations I've done." Carlisle says. "You were pregnant about a week before your honeymoon ended. The reason we didn't detect it was probably due to you being an allpower. Were you sick at all during those weeks?" 

"Yes." I say. "Only for two days before we came home. Jasper and I thought it could have been food poisoning." 

I blinked rapidly staring at Emmett wide eyed. 

"I need to talk to Carlisle." I stated.

"Yes?" Carlisle was suddenly beside us. 

"Alone." I stated grabbing his wrist and dragging him inside. "Jasper, you too." 

We made our way into the house up to Carlisle's office. 

"I'm pregnant." I say once the door closed. 

Jasper stared at me wide eyed along with Carlisle.

"Are you certain?" He asked.

"Yes." I say. "When Emmett and I were dancing, I had a vision. I was holding a baby that was the perfect mixture of Jasper and I and come to find out that day we thought I had food poisoning on our honeymoon was actually a sign I was pregnant. You think its due to the fact I'm an allpower." 

Jasper pulled me into his arms while Carlisle smiled at us. 

"We keep this a secret for now." I say as I concentrate on blocking the memory of their minds from any mind reader. 

I stood beside Dad as we watched her talk to Mom.  I couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. 

"I don't know what I did to make Mom not love me." I say to him. "It seems she's always favored Bella." 

"I think it may because how you're much more mature than she'll ever be." Dad says giving me a side hug.

I smiled as Jasper went over to Bella telling her that everything was packed and ready to go. She walked over to Dad and I.

"Dad..." She smiled.

"Well..." Dad grunted. "It's gonna be strange, the two of you not living under my roof." 

"Yeah." Bella smiled. "It's gonna be strange for me, too." 

"You know it will always be your home, right girls?" 

We nodded to him and I laughed as Bella pulled Dad into a tight hug.

"I love you, Dad." She says. "Forever." 

"I love you too, both of you." He says yanking me in for a group hug. "I always have and always will. All right. Go one. You don't wanna miss your plane. Wherever it's going." 

"I'll see you when you get back." I grinned at her as we pulled away.

"You know!" She gasped. "Tell me." 

"No." I laughed.

"You ready?" Edward asked walking over.

"Yeah, I'm ready." She breathed before pulling me into a hug once more.
