The Flower and Major

Part 14

"Jasper, where are you taking me?" I asked.

He just simply grinned as he carried me on his back through the forest. It was the night before my birthday. He simply said he was taking me to get my early birthday present. We stopped in a clearing and it was a beautiful sight. Jasper set me down on my feet.

"Esme made you some food." He smiled pulling me to the blanket. I sat down crossing my legs Jasper took a seat beside me handing me a plate of spaghetti.

"Why exactly did you decide to do a spontaneous date night?" I asked him while I ate.

"Because I have a very important gift for you, suga." He smiled. "Now eat."

I laughed lightly as I continued to eat my dinner. Once I finished I wiped my mouth as he took the plate from me. He pulled me to lay down and look up at the stars. It was breathtaking.

"Lily, I know we've only known each other for a few months." Jasper whispered. "But, I believe we're made for each other. The reason I was in a deep conversation with your Father the other night was because I was asking him permission. Lily Helen Swan, I don't want a life where you're not in it. Will you do the honors of becoming Lily Helen Whitlock-Hale?"

"What?" I asked shocked turning to look over at him.

He held a ring up between our faces with a nervous smile on his face. I collided my lips with his moving on top of him. He moaned quietly while slipping the ring on my finger before flipping us over onto my back. We pulled away and Jasper gently wiped my tears.

"I love you, Jazzy." I say.

"I love you too darlin." He smiled pecking my lips.

It was as if I was watching myself from the third person. I was walking into the backyard of Dad's house. The only difference about me was I had beautiful golden eyes. I made it before the forest where Bella who also had golden eyes, was staring sadly at something in her hand. I walked over to her placing my hand on her shoulder gently squeezing it.

"He's in a better place, Bells." I say. "we couldn't have expected him to live forever."

"I know, Flower." She says. "But it still hurts, it feels like just yesterday we were telling him that we're moving in."

I managed to see what she was holding. The little obituary pamphlet that you usually get at a funeral. My heart stopped as I read the name of the person.

"Charles Beau Swan" It had said under a picture of a very older looking Dad.

"Mom, Dad and Uncle Jasper sent us to get you." A female says before everything went black.

I jolted awake pressing my hand over my rapidly beating heart. That wasn't a dream... That was a vision set in the future. I jump feeling a cold hand against my bare arm. I turned to Jasper and Burt my face in his chest sobbing quietly.

"Darlin'?" Jasper says. "What's the matter?"

"She just had a vision of the future." Edward whispered from the doorway. "Year's in the future."

"What was it of, Darlin?" Jasper asked.

"It was like I was seeing myself through someone else's eyes. I wore all black and had gold eyes. I was walking into the backyard of this house and I saw Bella standing there looking at something wearing all black also." I explained taking a deep breath. "I got closer to her and said, 'He's in a better place, Bells, we couldn't expect him to live forever.' And Bella said, 'I know Flower, but it feels like just yesterday we were telling him we were moving in.' The thing Bella was holding was those pamphlets you get at a funeral it had a picture of Dad with the name; Charles Beau Swan. Before the vision ended I heard the voice of a girl. 'Mom, Dad and Uncle Jasper sent us to get you.' And that's when I jolted awake."

"So you're probably going to adopt." Jasper says to Edward. "Darlin' don't you worry about that. That's years from now. Come on, let's get you back to sleep it's only one in the morning."

I sighed laying down with my head on Jasper's bare chest as Edward left my room. I doze off feeling Jasper run his fingers through my hair. Edward don't say a word of this to Bella. I thought before fully falling asleep.

"Happy birthday!" Dad screamed causing me to jerk from my slumber.

Dad cackled standing in the doorway of my bedroom with presents in his hands. He walked over taking a seat beside me as I slapped him harshly on the arm.

"This one's from your Mother." Dad says. "And this one's from me."

I opened the one from my Mother it was a letter. I raise a brow at Dad who shrugged in confusion.

"Lily, your hair was the last straw for me. Ever since you moved in with Charlie you've changed. I'm writing this letter to tell you that I want nothing to do with you while in this little "Gothic" until you change your ways you are not my daughter don't even try to contact me-- Renee Dwyer." I read aloud. "What the actual Fuck?!"

"Lily." Dad says gently. "I can talk-"

"No." I snapped. "if she can't accept me the way I am then I'm done. Esme is my Mother. Yes, I will invite her to my wedding but she will not be sitting anywhere near me. If I have any problems with her then I'll have her escorted out."

Dad cleared his throat handing me the gift he got for me. I gave Dad a gentle smile opening it to reveal an awesome purse. It was the book from Beetle juice one of my favorite movies.

"Dad, this is awesome." I grinned while hugging him. "thanks."

"You're welcome baby." Dad smiled. "Let's wake up your sister."

I grinned grabbing the gift I got for her before running out of my room barging into Bella's across the hall. I ran and leapt right onto her causing her to groan loudly as Dad laughed from the doorway.

"Wake up!" I giggled. "It's our birthday!"

Bella pushed me off of her onto the floor. I glared up at her as I giggled handing her my gift for her as she gave me mine. I opened it and giggled as it was the same exact thing I got her. A simple ring that reads -sister- on it. We both put it on our right middle fingers laughing. We look up hearing a honk.

"Jasper's here!" I say. "Crap, I've gotta change!"

I rushed over to my room shutting the door and locking it as I quickly got dressed. I throw on my leather jacket grabbing my backpack and purse I just got before I rushed out the house and a flurry. My heels clicking loudly on the hardwood floors.

"Once I made it outside I saw Alice standing with Jasper bouncing on the balls of her feet. I laughed as she pulled me into a tight hug.

"Happy birthday!" She says. "Wear this tonight, your party."

"Alright." I laughed.

"Happy birthday, Suga." He smiled kissing me gently.
