The Flower and Major

Part 41

I curled up into Jasper's side watching as Paul and Emmett played the Xbox. Bella was in the upstairs living room talking with Dad on the phone. I was thinking of telling Dad about being pregnant but with how fast its going it wouldn't be a great idea. 

I smiled at Jake as he walked out of Carlisle's office. He gave me a slight smile back before making his way upstairs. Probably to talk with Bella. I turned my attention to Jasper as he ran his fingers along my belly.

"I love you." I whispered to him. 

"I love you too, baby doll." He says kissing me. 

Jacob was rushing downstairs which caused me to crunch my eyebrows in confusion. He was slightly flanked by Esme, Carlisle, and Emmett. I turned to Rose as she took a seat beside me with a smile. Royal had left for a few days with Angela because she had to be back at school.

"I love that name." I smiled at Bella. "I may not see eye to eye with her but it is a beautiful name." 

"I love your choice too." She smiled at me. 

We looked up as Jasper, Edward, Paul, and Jacob walked into the room. 

"Hey." Bella smiled. "Are you okay?" 

"Yeah, it's not like I'm the one carrying a demon." Jacob says sarcastically causing me to send water in his face.

"This is pretty important girls." Rosalie spoke up. "Why don't you tell the wolves what you've decided?" 

"What now?" Paul groaned. 

"Rose is trying to talk Bella and Lily out of their baby names." Edward chuckled. 

"Well, then." Jacob sighed. "We're on your side no matter what you girls picked." 

"They're not that bad." Bella huffed. "If it's a boy, EJ. Edward Jacob." 

"Okay." Rose sighed. "That one's not awful. Why don't you tell them the girl's name?"

"I was playing around with our Mother's names." Bella bit her lip. "Renee and Esme. And I was thinking... Renesmee." 

"Renesmee?" Jacob asked pronouncing it weirdly as I laughed.

"Too weird?" Bella asked.

"No." Edward smiled at her. "That's not too weird. It's beautiful. And unique, which certainly fits the situation. I like Renesmee." 

Bella giggled excitedly as I smiled rubbing her arm. The men turned toward me waiting for me to tell them mine. 

"For a boy, I was thinking of Charles Jasper." I say. "CJ for short. As for the girls name, I went off Bella's idea. My two favorite Cullen couple since the first day of school was honestly Rose and Emmett. So I was thinking Rosemett." 

"They're are beautiful." Jasper smiled at me. 

I move slightly as the stupid twinge of pain appeared again. Edward eyes widened as he snapped his head to me. 

"Those are not normal twinges, Lily." He says urgently. "Those are contractions, how long have you been having them." 

"All da-" I cut off as liquid gushed from between my thighs.

Jasper quickly lifted me into his arms rushing off upstairs while calling Royal in the process. Paul wasn't that far behind. He laid me down on the bed as I groaned in agony. It hurts like hell. Royal appeared in the room and started ordering the two around at a very fast pace.

Jasper covered my lap with a towel before he took off my leggings and panties. I blushed furiously feeling very exposed. Jasper and Paul sat at my sides as Royal knelt between my thighs inspecting. 

"The baby's coming quickly." Royal says wide eyed. "Lily, you're gonna have to start pushing." 

I whimpered as I gripped both Jasper and Paul's hands before I let out a scream pushing down with all my might. I stopped taking a deep breath with teary eyes. It hurt so much. 

"It hurts so much, Jazzy." I sobbed.

"I know, darlin'." Jasper whispered into my hair. "I'm so sorry." 

"Again, Lily." Royal says.

I let out a loud scream as I started to push more. I stopped taking a breath. I was starting to get a bit light headed. I looked down at Royal who gave me another nod. I let out a high pitched scream pushing down as the lights in the room started flickering. Soon enough the pain went away and a cry filled the air. 

"It's a girl!" Royal grinned holding the baby up. 

"Roseemett." I slurred out.

Royal's eyes flashed with worry as he handed the baby to me. I cradled my daughter to my chest before groaned in pain as she sunk her teeth into me. Jasper quickly took her away chiding her. I grunt as I felt Royal press against my abdomen. Jasper was cleaning our daughter causing me to smile.

~NO ONE~

Paul was keeping his eye on Lily. She seemed to be out of it a bit. Royal was busy finishing up the afterbirth while Jasper cleaned Rosemett. He turned his attention back to his best friend as he felt her hand slip from his grip. Her head lolled to the side, eyes closed. 

Jasper and Royal both quickly snapped their heads toward her. Jasper passed the baby to Paul before rushing to his wife. He quickly tapped on her cheeks with tears in his eyes. 

"No." He sobbed. "No, don't you dare fucking die." 

He started to bite every inch of skin as he could. Paul closed his eyes in horror before taking Rosemett out of the room. He looked down at the girl and it was as if the center of his world shifted. It was not Earth holding him here. He would be anything she needs, a friend, a brother, a protector.
