The Flower and Major

Part 19

I was sitting between Mike and Eric as I half listened to what Angela was saying. I was currently texting Jasper back. 

"They're like huge bears." Angela says causing me to look at her. "I've seen them!" 

"Sure, you did, babe." Eric says patting her shoulder. 

I was about to respond to her talk of big bears when I spot Bella walking to our table. I smiled at her as she gave me an half smile.

"She's right." Bella says nodding toward Angela. "Lily and I's Dad gotten calls about them." 

"See, I believed you babe." Eric says.

"More like he's wanting to get late." I snorted.

"I agree with Lily." Jessica says. "He's just trying to get lucky." 

I turned to Mike and shove him out of his seat onto the floor. 

"There you are, Bells." I grinned. 

Everyone laughed as Mike scrambled into the empty seat beside the one he was just sitting in. Bella took a seat beside me. I grabbed her hand giving it a tight squeeze. 

"Hey, do any of you want to go see a movie?" Bella asked.

"What movie?" Mike asked. "I heard love spelled backwards is love was good."

"That does not even make sense." I laughed. "How can love spelled backward be love?"

"I was thinking of Face-Punch." Bella shrugged.

"I'll go." I shrugged. "Need some corny gore in my life." 

"Oh Mike, we were just talking about that movie." Eric says. "The trailer was like pow-pow." 

I gave Angela an exasperated look over her boyfriends head at his fake punching and sound effects.

"Yay, movie night with Bella." Jessica mumbled.

I sent her an icy glare before reaching my foot under the table and kicking her harshly in the shin. Effectively shutting her up. I gave her a smirk before I started fiddling with my engagement ring. Bella still has no idea that Jasper was here and that's where I've been spending most of my time.

I stood with Jacob, Paul, and Mike. Jacob was glaring at Paul while Mike eyed both of them. Bella made me keep an eye on them so I can use my powers to separate them if anything happens. 

"Are you two even old enough to see this movie?" Mike questioned. 

"That's why Bella's getting our tickets." Jake said rolling his eyes. 

"These two." I huffed causing Paul to chuckle.

Bella walked back over with the movie tickets. She handed us each one. 

"Angela got the flu so Eric's taking care of her." Bella explained. "And Jessica bailed, terrified of you." 

The boys all eyed me suspiciously. I just simply smirked pulling Paul along with me into the theater to get snacks before the movie. I laughed as he was practically drooling over the huge tub of popcorn I bought. I smirked as I handed him the small one.

"What?" Paul whined. "This is like one bite." 

"I'm kidding." I laughed. "Here."

We traded as we followed the rest of the group to the room our movie was showing. Paul sat on my left and Jake on my right. Poor Bella sat between Jake and Mike.

I quickly jerked my legs back as Mike came rushing past looking as if he was going to be sick. Sighing as we all followed after him. Bella and Jacob went to sit on the stairs while I bought Paul something else to eat and got myself a soda. We walked back over seeing Jake threatening Mike.

"Calm down, Black." Paul growled authority in his voice.

I sighed rubbing my forehead. Grabbing out my phone I tell them I'm stepping out for a minute before walking out into the cool night air. I dialed Billy's home number. It rang a few times before a tired sounding Billy answered.

"Hello?" Billy said tiredly.

"Did I wake you Uncle Billy?" I asked chewing on my thumb nail. 

"It's fine, Flower." Uncle Billy says. "Is everything alright?"

"I think Jake might be starting to go through the process." I whispered. "he got angry at Mike really fast."

"Thank you for warning me, Sweetheart." Uncle Billy says before I hung up.

Everyone walked outside and I gave Paul a small smile. Bella led Mike to her truck while I led Paul and a miserable looking Jacob to my Mustang. Paul sat in the passenger seat while Jake had climbed into the backseat. Sighing I buckled up before starting the car and peeling out of the parking lot.

"Bye, Paul!" I called out as he walked into Sam and Emily's house.

He waved before walking into the house. I smiled slightly waving at Emily when she picked her head out the door before I drove off.

I woke up to the sound of Bella screaming. Jake had been ignoring her and screaming had come back. Sighing I quickly climbed out of bed slipping on some pajama shorts. I glanced at Jasper who was sitting there looking concerned. I hold up a finger to him before rushing out of my room across the hall to Bella's.

Dad with sitting on the edge of her bed talking about him being a bachelor. I playfully rolled my eyes at him as I sat down beside him gently massaging Bella's calf.

"Are you okay?" I asked her gently.

"I think so." She says. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake either of you."

"Its alright, Bells." I say gently. "Do you want me to stay?"

"No." She mumbled. "I just want to sleep."

"Okay." I nodded kissing her forehead. "Night, old man."

"Hey, I am not old." Dad complained as I giggled.

I walked out of Bella's room back to mind shutting and locking the door. Jasper was still sitting in the bed where I left him. I shimmied out of the shorts before slipping under the covers beside them. He lays down pulling me with him. I never got a chance to tell him of her nightmares. All I did get a chance was to tell him of her depression and new addiction to adrenaline.

"When you left I went inside and saw a note about Bella going for a walk with Edward." I started. "I didn't know anything of it at the time. I left the note where it was and laid down on the sofa taking a nap. I woke up a couple hours later calling out for Bella and got no response so I searched the house and couldn't find her so I had call Dad, in the middle of a panic attack. Dad ended up getting a search party for her. He f****** led her deep into the woods. Sam found her at almost 11:00 at night. Every night since then she would wake up screaming and was like an emotionless zombie. Dad finally knocked some sense into her and she started hanging with Jake to help her with the pain. Now since Jake's phasing, he can't be near her so the nightmares are coming back."

I sobbed quietly into his chest as he pulled me closer pressing a kiss to my hair.

"I'm going to make Edward feel what she's feeling." Jasper hissed.
