"I believe this belongs to you." The dark skinned Vampire says holding the baseball tossing it to Carlisle who caught it with ease.
"Thank you." He says with a nod.
"I'm Laurent, this is Victoria and James." The dark skinned Vampire introduced.
"I'm Carlisle and this is my family." Carlisle introduced us to the vampires. "I'm afraid your hunting activities have cause something of a mess for us."
"Our apologies." Laurent says eyes lingering on me. "We didn't realize the territory had been claimed."
"Yes." Carlisle says stepping in front of me. "We maintain a permanent residence nearby."
"Really?" I heard Laurent say. "Well we won't be a problem anymore. We were just passing through."
"The humans were tracking us." The woman Victoria says. "We lead them east, you should be safe."
"Excellent." Carlisle says a bit forced.
"Could you use three more players?" Laurent questioned as the Cullens stayed silent. "Oh come on, just one game."
"Sure, why not?" Carlisle says. "A few of us were leaving, you can just take their places. We'll bat first."
"I'm the one with the wicked curve-ball." Victoria says.
"Oh, well I think we could handle that." Jasper says.
"We shall see." Victoria says.
We go to walk away when the wind suddenly picks up sending a chill down my spine.
"You brought a snack." James hissed causing the Cullen's to crouch defensively in front of us.
I quickly pulled Bella to my side protectively while glaring at the blonde.
"A human?" Laurent questioned shocked.
"She's with us." Carlisle snapped.
"We see the game is over, we'll leave now." Laurent says walking away. "James."
James growls turning to walk away pulling Victoria to his side.
"Get the girls out of here." Carlisle says.
Jasper quickly but gently threw me onto his back running through the trees to the Cullen house. We got there before everyone else. Jasper gently set me down on the floor cupping my face in his hands. I look up at him terrified.
"Jazz." I whispered. "What's happening?"
"James is a tracker." Jasper says gently. "Once he smelled Bella and saw our reactions he made a sadistic game out of this. We're going to get you and your sister out of town."
"What about Charlie?" I asked terrified.
"We're gonna watch him, Suga'." He says as his phone rings.
He slipped it out of his pocket speaking what seemed like a smile a minute as the other Cullen's walk in minus Edward who's probably with Bella. I quickly hid behind Jasper seeing Laurent. Jasper and Rosalie growled standing in front of me while Jasper hung up the phone.
"He's come in peace." Carlisle says. "Let's talk in my office."
They walked away as Jasper turned to me brushing his fingers through my hair calming me down slightly.
"Bella made a plan to get out of town." Jasper says. "She's staging a fight with Edward and breaking up with him in front of Charlie claiming she's going home. She told him you have no idea what's going on because you were already here when her and Edward got into a fight and she made the decision to leave."
I nodded quietly wrapping my arms around Jasper's middle with my head resting on his chest. I smiled slightly as he wrapped his arms around my shoulders kissing my head. I sighed heavily breathing in his scent. Jasper moved so we were in the garage and I was sitting on the counter. He and the others were rushing around getting things ready. My phone rang scaring me slightly.
"Hey, Dad." I say as I answered the phone.
"She's leaving, Lily." Dad says distraught.
"What do you mean, Dad?" I lied. "Who?"
"Bella." Dad says. "She broke up with Edward and left."
"What?" I gasped. "Dad, I'm coming home."
"No, baby, you stay with your friends." Dad says. "I need to be alone for a bit."
"Okay, Dad." I sighed. "I Love you."
"I Love you, too." Dad says before he hung up.
I sighed while rubbing my hands down my face. How could a game of baseball turn so stressful in a matter of seconds. I gave Bella a slight smile as she and Edward walked into the garage.
"Maggie and I had to fight our kind before." Jasper says. "Not easy."
"Definitely putting it lightly, Jazz." Maggie sighed shoving stuff into a duffle bag. "It's not impossible though."
"We'll tear them apart and burn the pieces." Jasper says opening one of the cabinets.
"I don't relish in killing another creature not even a sadistic one like James." Carlisle sighed.
"What if he kills one of us first?" Rosalie asked climbing onto the counter beside me.
"Jasper and I will run the twins South." Edward says. "You lead the tracker from here."
"No, Edward." Carlisle says. "James will know you'll never leave Bella's side."
"I'll go with the twins." Alice says coming up beside Bella. "Maggie and I will drive them South. I'll keep them safe."
Jasper nodded walking over to me pulling me into a heated kiss before pulling away kissing my forehead.
"I Love you." He says.
"I Love you." I whispered as he helped me off the counter.
Alice gently took mine and Bella's hand leading us to a black Mercedes. I sighed climbing into the back seat keeping the door open. Jasper walked over kneeling at my side. He brushed his fingers along my jawline before placing something my hand. Confused I look down to see a beautiful necklace.

I grabbed his face pulling him in an intense kiss. Once we pulled away he rested his forehead on mine.
"I will, Jazzy." I whispered. "You stay safe also."
Jasper gave me small smile and nod. I slipped in fully into the car as he stood up shutting my door for me. Bella scooted over to me laying her head on my shoulder as Maggie pulled out of the Garage.
