October.

They've been gone for a little over a month. Jasper had called me on the 13th just to talk. Bella was having nightmares every night screaming when she woke up. It's been taking a toll on both Charlie and I. She's also been like a depressed zombie where she barely eats or moves from her chair in front of the window. Right now, I was sitting on the porch in a costume. I smiled brightly as the little kids dressed up for Halloween thanked me before rushing off.

Dad let out a sigh as he paused on raking the leaves and looked towards the house before giving me a sad smile. I returned one. Dad and I have an agreement, do not tell her that Jasper calls me once a month and calls him every week to see how I'm doing which he just recently told me about.

November.

I smack Jacob's hand when he went to sneak a roll. He hissed rubbing his hand while glaring at me. I point the wooden spatula at him with a glare.

"I told you, Jacob." I chided. "You can wait until everything is done."

I looked up as Dad walked in the door. Behind him was Mr. And Mrs. Marks. Mrs. Marks was holding a container of what I can only assume is a turkey. She gave me a gentle smile holding it up.

"I've made you a turkey." She says.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Marks." I cringed slightly. "We have a turkey in the oven, Ma'am."

"Oh." The woman looked down sadly.

"I know what you can do with that one though." I smiled at her. "There's a shelter down near the Police Station that feed people that don't have the money or family for Thanksgiving."

Mrs. Marks gave me a bright smile pulling her husband out of the house. Dad chuckled kissing my head. I quickly whacked Dad's hand like I did with Jake's as he reached for a roll.

"I will tell you what I told Jacob." I say waving the spoon at him. "you can wait until everything is done. Now both of you go watch the damn game."

Dad grumbled glaring at me as he walked out of the room. Jake on the other hand started to help me.

"How is she?" He whispered.

"I've never seen her like this." I whispered as a single tear fell.

December.

I giggled watching dad fight with the Christmas tree he just chopped down through the yard. He almost fell twice. Dad glared at me before his eyes went up to the house. I give him a nod knowing what he meant. I headed into the warm house and walked upstairs to Bella's room. I quietly walked up behind her seeing her writing an email that read;

Dear Mom,

I'm lost... Edward took everything with him. Including my life. He promised it would be like he never existed. But I need to know he did. I can tell that this has been taking a toll on Lily. Even though she says she's fine, when she goes to bed I hear her, crying...

Oh Bella. I thought as I walked over to her kissing her hair. She didn't move an inch.

I stood beside Dad as we looked at Bella sitting on the couch staring blankly at the TV that was switched off. The rain pelted on the windows. I turned to my Dad my lip wobbling. I cannot stand seeing her like this. Maybe she should go to Jacksonville to live with Mom for a while. Dad pulled me into a side hug rubbing my arm.

Bella sat at their lunch table again at lunch. I was sitting with our old friends. I sighed as I poked at my food. I'm going to kill Edward when I see him again. No matter what. He took her away, my sister.

I sat on the hood of Dad's cruiser watching as he talked to Mr. Marks while taking out the trash.

"It's about time you got rid of those death machines." Dad says.

"Oi!" I called out. "You say they're death machines but you let me ride one."

He gave me a glare before turning to Mr. Marks as he starts telling him about his wife doesn't want him to keep them. I turn my attention to the house as Bella walked out of the house. Mr. Marks greets her but she didn't say a word to him. She walked to her truck opening the door. I hopped off Dad's car going to my bike. I was really just waiting for her so we could go to school together.

Dad walked over slamming the truck door closed. I took a deep breath knowing what was coming. Dad was going to try and convince her to go live with Renee.

"That's it." Dad snapped.

"That's what?" Bella spoke as I walked over leaning against the truck.

"You're going back to Jacksonville to live with your Mother." Dad sighed.

"What?" Bella questioned. "Why?"

"I just- we just don't know what to do with you anymore." Dad says. "You don't act like someone left you. You act like someone died."

She looked away causing me to reach over placing my hand against her arm rubbing it. I just know that's how him leaving feels. As if he had died. I talked to Jasper about it and he said it was due to them being mates and he completely dropped contact with her.

"I'm not leaving Forks." Bella refused.

"Bells, the bastards not coming back." Dad says harshly. "It's not normal, this behavior. And frankly it's scaring the hell out of me, your sister, and your Mother. Go to Jacksonville, baby make new friends."

"I like my old friend's!" Bella protested.

"Bells, honey you don't see them anymore." I say gently.

"I do too!" Bella protested. "I-I'm going shopping with Jessica tomorrow, you can come too Lily."

"Of course." I say gently. "don't blame me if I end up punching her."

"You hate shopping." Dad deadpanned.

"That's how I'm a good friend." Bella explained.

"Alright." Dad nodded. "Shopping, Lily keep an eye on her."

"Always Dad." I smirked walking over to my bike putting on my helmet.

Dad shook his head after I turned it on revving the engine causing Mr. Marks to look over smirking.

"Bad ass girl moment!" He cheered causing me to laugh pulling out of the driveway with Bella not far behind.
