Akaashi woke up in the middle of the night because of thirst. Normally, when Akaashi woke up, Bokuto would sense it and wake up to check on him.

But since he was too tired from graduation practice, he was dead tired of sleeping on their bed.

Akaashi carefully pushed the two owls that were sleeping on top of his body and then silently left the room to drink some water in the living room.

The house is quiet and because he's been staying here for a year, even without the guidance of light, he reached the living room with no problem at all.

Akaashi's feet then stopped from entering the living room when he heard Bokuto's Mother talking to someone, probably Bokuto's Father.

"Geez, you're being extra clingy today."

Akaashi's face automatically went red as he unintentionally eavesdropped on his in-law's conversation.

What am I hearing ////

"I can't help it, my wife is soooooo damn beautiful. I love hugging my beautiful wife."

He couldn't believe what he was hearing!

"It's late wifeeeey, let's head to beeeeed." Bokuto's father said in a soft voice.

The tone... the mannerisms...

"You should head to bed first if you're sleepy. I'm about to finish cleaning." Kaori said.

"But I want to sleep with my wifey." He said that made Akaashi blush even more.

It's exactly the same...

Akaashi then heard Kaori laugh, "You sound like your son when he's being clingy to Kei-chan." she said.

"He must be copying me."

Akaashi smiled and decided to not disturb them. He went back to their room and as expected, when Akaashi lay down on the bed, the two owls immediately snuggled up to him and squashed him.

"Mmhh... 'kasheee where'd ya go?" Bokuto mumbled as he kissed Akaashi's jawline and wrapped his arms around him.

"Sorry, were you cold?" Akaashi asked.

"Mmn." Bokuto said and buried his face in Akaashi's neck which made Akaashi chuckle in ticklishness.

"Smells good," Bokuto commented while sniffing Akaashi's neck.

"Don't sniff."

"Are you thirsty? Do you want me to get you some water?" Bokuto asked in a tired voice that made Akaashi smile.

Always the serving husband...

"It's fine, you're tired, right? Don't worry about me and sleep more." Akaashi said and kissed Bokuto's forehead.

"I will never be tired when it comes to my husband and my baby, Kou-ji." Bokuto said.

Akaashi was about to reply something but stopped when he heard Kouji mumbling.

"Nhh, lame."

Akaashi laughed so hard that made Bokuto pouted, "The more Kouji grew, the more his love for me faded. He used to be soooo cute and was always admiring me." Bokuto said.

"How's the preparation going?" Akaashi asked as he started brushing Bokuto's hair.

"Tiring." Bokuto said and hugged him tighter, "I miss you." he mumbled.

Akaashi pressed his lips together and hugged him back. He also missed him. It's been 2 weeks since they had a lovey-dovey moment, and if he's being honest...
