Chapter 30

"Barkindo your mother dropped this, that you guy's are having a feast or something" the messenger said.

She looked at him with her mouth agape.

"Are you sure my mom dropped this?" She asked to be sure she heard right.

"Yes, she did" he smiled at her.
She took the food warmer and the rest of the things from him and thanked him, he blessed her and left. Ummi was a girl loved by all.

She saw a card inside the basket
  "I prepared this so you can bond with your classmates more. I'm coming to pick you up today."
    Mami.
She smiled after reading the card and a lone tear escaped her eyes but she was quick to wipe it, ikram and her secret admirer noticed that.

"Guy's you all should come let's eat, my mom prepared this for us" she said.
They all sat down, ummi served everyone and she dished some for the messenger and took it to him. He thanked her and blessed her. She dished some for mr. Khalil too.

She dished it for her and her two friends. She dished it for saleema and amina- the two duo's, fatima was nowhere to be found. She let males serve them selves. They were eating when fatima walked into the class and saw them.
She kindly took a plate dished out the food and walked up to fatima.

"Here fatima my mom made this" ummi said.

"Take your food out of my sight, do i look like some hungry bitch to you" fatima bellowed.

"Pls just eat it" she said and turned to walk away when fatima smashed the food and plate on her face.

"What the hell do you think you are doing" rayyan asked fatima anger evident in his voice.
Ikram took her hand and slapped her.

"How dare you smear food on her" salima and amina chorused.
All her classmates stood up to fight for her. Hauwa took her out of there to the washroom and rayyan followed suit.

Hauwa literally dragged her to the washroom because it's as if she isn't aware of her surroundings.
Hauwa was the one cleaning her blazer and face.

"What are you crying" hauwa asked shocked.

"I'm not crying because she smeared food on me, I'm crying because my mother put so much effort in making it, she made it out of love for me and my classmates and she just wasted it, If she didn't want to eat it, she should have just given it back why did she need to waste it" ummi said in between sob's.
Rayyan was outside hearing their conversation, he can't go in since it's the ladies washroom.
She washed her face, washed her blazer and left it to dry under the care of one of the cleaner's. The problem is her shirt is see through.
She came out and  rayyan quickly averted his gaze. He removed his blazer and gave it to her, she quickly wore it and thanked him. They walked back to class together and to their surprise everywhere was sparkling clean.
She thanked her classmates and took the rest of the food to the cleaner's.
After school was over mami came to pick her up. Her classmates helped her carry the things and took it to the car.  All her classmates greeted her mom  well except fatima who has started letting jealousy blind her.
She introduced ikram and they left home together. The houses were not even far.
They decided to be meeting up in barkindo's house to study, all of them except fatima who refused to join the study group.

With that she created a great bond with her classmates. Food sure bind's people together.

She went back home and freshened up, she wore baggy jean's and a turtle neck with a hoodie then put on her cap.
Just then her phone beeped and she checked it was a message from rayyan. She gave him her number earlier and the rest of her classmates. She saved his number as handsome dude.

Handsome dude - we have arrived at your house.

Me- Ohk I'm coming.
She quickly took her veil and went downstairs.
She saw all of her classmates waiting, except fatima. She ushered them into the living room downstairs and brought some refreshments for them(drinks, water, cupcakes, brownies, biscuits, doughnuts and steak). She went upstairs to call mami and she came downstairs with her.
They all squat down and greet her one by one.

"Mami ina wuni" ikram said squatting down.

"Lfy lau iky" mami answered smiling.

"Mami ina wuni" hauwa said next.

"Lfy lau hauwa koh" Mami answered trying to remember her name.

"Mami ina wuni" salima and amina said at the same time.

"Lfy lau saleema and amina" she answered still with that smile on her face.

"Mami ina wuni" rayyan said.

"Lfy lau handsome dude" Mami answered smiling mischievously.

"Mami seriously" ummi said looking at her in disbelief.

"What, is he not the handsome dude you're talking about" Mami exposed her.
Ummi just wish the ground would swallow her. The rest greted her and she left to give them space. She went upstairs and carried her bag just as she was descending the stairs, she saw her classmates greeting Abi.

"Abiiiii" she squealed and hugged him.

"Gimbiya na Ykk" He asked hugging her back. All her classmates were in awe of the father daughter relationship.
He asked her to take them to his living room so they could study without any disturbance.
They studied really well and shared ideas.
When they were done, it was already 6:00 so Abi said he will drop all of them at his father's house.
They took the sienna and dropped each of them home. They all lived in unguwan rimi but different lanes.
