Chapter 69: Ferry to Twinleaf

A/N: so i skipped chapter 69 cause im a bit confused if i should post it or not. it's actually a filler which im doubting a lot and it's actually pretty boring as it just focuses on a battle i created up.

so uh do you guys want a one pokémon battle between y/n and tobias? if yes, which pokémon should he be using? darkrai or latios? i started writing using darkrai but i can still change as i didn't wrote the battling part much.

the chapter will focus on comforting more than anything romantic by the way.

As the Sinnoh League got over and it was time to get back to Kanto, Dawn suggests that everyone should stay at her house as the ferry to Kanto leaves at tomorrow's evening from Twinleaf Town.
So agreeing to that, everyone hopped on to the ferry which goes to Twinleaf Town, not knowing what's about to come soon.

Dawn and You were out on the deck, walking around while talking and Piplup and Spearow were goofing around.
Meanwhile, Ash was freaking out in his room with Arlo and Brock trying to calm him down.

"Ash, could you please tell us what's the deal?!" Brock finally snaps at Ash, "you're literally annoying us at this point"
"Yeah Ash, just tell us what's the big deal!" Arlo please, "pikachu Pika!"
"I want to to tell this to you guys, but I'm not sure if it'll be okay with Brock"
"Huh?" The two says, "Ash, what did you do this time?" Arlo asks
"Nothing...I did nothing, but I might do something which Brock wouldn't like at all, and I don't want our friendship to end, right at the end of our journey, just when we're going home"
"Ash" Brock starts and sits beside him on the bed, "look, we've been friends since the longest time, we went through everything together, it's okay to tell me anything, i wouldn't mind and i promise nothing will affect our friendship" He reassures.

Ash finally looks up and sighs, "thanks Brock" he smiles, "I hope you wouldn't mind this at all...so first of all, keep this a secret" he said, Arlo, Pikachu and Brock eagerly nods and comes closer to Ash, "basically I like Y/N"
"What a mind-blowing surprise you admitted right now, wow" "pika" Arlo sarcastically says, Pikachu also agreeing with him
"Hey! You two can't make fun of me!" He protests
"So you were scared to tell me this?" Brock laughs and friendly slaps Ash's back, "I absolutely don't mind this at all, Ash, go, confess to her!"
Ash first smiles, but quickly gets half-serious again, "thanks, but look, I'm scared" he admits, "i thought about telling this to her around the time of Wallace Cup, near Lake Valor, but I got scared, especially because of Drew and Gary...and you too...but they were the main problems, because they know how to flirt and all, and she's more closer to them, then Barry came, he literally threw himself onto her, they became close, I got jealous, but I couldn't even say anything, then Paul, she was busy proving to him that she's stronger, i didn't minded that because I was like that too, but..... during the Sinnoh League, right after she lost, till the time he left, I saw them becoming closer? I'm not sure, even before that during the league, I saw her cheering for him and all." He sighs
"Then?" Brock asks
"Then, i decided that the end of Sinnoh is near, so I kept my feelings to myself, it hurt honestly, but I realised that after the league, we all will leave Sinnoh anyways and I wouldn't have to worry about Barry, Paul and Drew, so I'll tell her everything which i wanted to tell for the longest time after all the stress is cleared from our heads and all...."

"So basically, you want to confess to her today?"
"I mean, it's not gonna hurt to give it a shot, right?"
"Hmmm" Brock thinks
"Hold up!" Arlo says, "Sinnoh isn't over yet"
"What do you mean?"
"I don't wanna demotivate you, but what if she rejects you?"
"Arlo!" Ash pouts
"No Ash, let him finish"
"So continuing, what if she rejects you? We literally have to stay at Dawn's house tomorrow then travel for about two days to get to Kanto, you think you can see her after rejection for that long?"
"He has a point" Brock says, "if she accepts you, you're lucky, but if she doesn't, you'll have to see her for around three more days, and that will be way too awkward, and you'll get hurt"
"But what about you?" Ash asks, "didn't you also felt hurt?"
"You're not me, are you?" Brock asks
"UGHHHH THEN WHAT AM I GONNA DO?"
