Chapter 63: Sinnoh Grand Festival!

After all the hardwork and dedication you and Dawn gave to pokémon contests to win the five ribbons, it eventually pays off as the Grand Festival is finally here in the Lake Valor.

"It's here! All the excited coordinators of the sinnoh region; the pokémon contest grand festival! One hundred eight coordinators with five ribbons will be showing off their greatest pokémon here in the ultimate venue! Today's performances will be all double performances!" Marian went on, explaining everything and introduced all the judges.

The first coordinator was Ursula who sends out two eevee
"She's got two eevee?" Dawn murmurs
You carefully notice how she tells her two eevee to use iron tail and hidden power, with your own eevee on your shoulder.
"Okay, here it goes!" Ursula yells and throws two evolution stones "evolve!" She says, surprising every single person there. The two evolves into Flareon and Vaporeon and uses their hidden power's beams to showed the stage.

"Flareon and Vaporeon" Dawn says, pulling out her dex
"There's no way she's not going to the next round" You say, feeling a bit nervous. 'Will i be able to do it?'

The next coordinators were Nando, Jessilina, some other coordinators, then Zoey and Kenny who messes up his last move.

"Next green stage performer, it's your turn, followed by blue stage performer" A man comes inside and informs
"Huh? Okay"
"Understood..."

While Dawn went away, you sat on one of the stools, hugging Eevee and Spearow tightly
"Y/N, you okay?" Zoey asks, sitting beside you
"Of course...im just a bit...nervous"
"Dont worry Y/N, if you're scared what'll your pokémons feel? Scared too obviously. Just close your eyes and think about everything you did to get here and do your best with your pokémons!" She says, resting her hand on your back
You sigh and look at the two pokémons, "Alright! We'll do it!"

"Hey guys! Am I late?"
"Barry?! What're you doing here?!" Ash asks in surprise
"Huh? What do you mean by; 'what're you doing here?' Of course I'm here to cheer for Y/N! Oh and Dawn too!" He proudly says and sits beside Ash "now tell me, am I late?!"
Brock sweatdrops at his lack of patience, "Uh, you're right on time actually. Y/N's gonna be on stage anytime now"
"Really?! Woohoo!"
Ash huffs and crossed his arms, leaning back on his chair, 'what a great surprise'

On the other hand, you stood behind the curtains, holding your pokéballs near your chest, breathing heavily. 'I'll do it, we all can do it! We all did everything to get here, so there's nothing to be scared of...we did this three times before, so we'll be able to do it this time too!'

"And next on the blue stage, please welcome Y/N from the Pallet Town!" Marian announces and the blue curtains move away, revealing you.
You take a deep breath and smile, before walking on the stage.

"Alright! Kabutops, Hoothoot, c'mon out!" The duo came out with blue colored party and black coloured line seal stickers.

Meanwhile, the boys' (excluding Arlo) jaws DROP on the floor, after seeing you in a new dress, which you bought from Hearthome city with Dawn for grand festival.

"SHE LOOKS SO DAMN AWESOME IN THAT DRESS!" Barry is the first one to compliment.
"I COULDN'T AGREE MORE!" Ash says, matching with Barry's energy and stands up with him
"I KNOW RI-" Brock was gonna say something, but he stops and shakes his head before leaning back against his seat "yeah, she looks pretty in that"
Arlo quickly faces Brock but doesn't say anything and continues to focus back on the stage.
