Chapter 20: Grand Festival! Preliminary Round!

Just a few more chapters and we are in sinnoh! (Not gonna include battle frontier matches other than Brandon's one cause he's the best 💃💃)

Finally grand festival was here! And hoenn league was just around the corner! And then after that..? No one knows... maybe start a new journey in a new region or find some cool things to do in Hoenn or even in kanto! No one seemed bothered about the future unlike you...

'Hoenn league is almost here and grand festival is literally here...after that May and Max will leave and i'm not sure where i'll go...or what about Arlo? His parents will probably worried about him... should I travel with Ash and Brock or just leave and travel on my own to a new region and make new friends?' You were busy thinking about the future too much that you didn't even noticed that May and Max's mom was here even done talking to everyone there

"Y/N! YOU THERE?!" Arlo screamed
"Aaaaahhhh! You- why did you do that for?!"
"You were zoning out since we came here!"
"Sorry..."
"Aw c'mon...she's probably nervous for tomorrow" May's mom replied patting your head "its so good to see you again...thank you for being such a good friend to my children, they told me how cool and awesome you were"

"Its not a big deal" you smiled

You and May got to share a room in the hotel and everyone was looking at the letters you two got from all the friends you two made all along the way
"This is from Janet!" May gasped happily "she introduced me to pokémon contests!"
"Look! This letter is from Zack! We met him in the pokémon center and I had a battle with his whiscash and mantine!" You said showing the letter

May wanted to show her pokémons to her mom so you all went outside when you saw Drew

"May look! Its Drew"
"Where?" May asked as you took her with you
"Yo Drew!"
"Huh? Ohhh you two" he shoved a rose in your face which you had to accept
"Glad you made it here~"

"Mayyyyyyyyy" you three heard someone yell out May's name only to find out its Harley

"May im so so sorryyy for what i've done to youuu!" Harley faked his tears while holding her hands begging to be forgived, meanwhile you and Drew looked at each other knowing what he will do in future
"Its okay Harley"
"Really thank you! And Y/N!"

"Im really sorry to you too! Please forgive me! I swear ill change!"
"Ill forgive you if you wont cause any trouble in the festival"
'What is- im gonna be the death of this girl' "o-of course! Why would I do anything anyways?" He tried his best not to stutter or get mad and instead tried to his best to act normal

You knew he was upto something. You knew, Drew knew, Ash, Brock, Max, Arlo knew and of course Harley himself knew.

10:45 PM
"Spearow, mightyena, Minun, Swellow, Dustox and Kirlia" you let all your pokémons out of the ball at the beach "Tomorrow is grand festival again...Preliminary round and I want you all to be relaxed and give your best! I know we have faced it last year except for Kirlia and won but I feel like we might not this year-" your pokémons cried out almost like telling you to shut up and think positively "*sigh* I know what you guys are telling, i'm sorry...but listen Harley is back and he's my toxic old rival again" you said looking at the moon "so I want you all to be careful cause he might backstab" all nodded as you started to train with them

The training session was going on for a long time until May had to come to stop you

"Y/N Its almost 12:30... Dont you think you and your Pokémons need to rest now? I had given my Pokémons to Nurse Joy she will hand them to me once its morning, you should do that too"
