Chapter 77: Battle Club

In the middle of going to Nacrene City, Ash decided to stop at the Luxuria Town's battle club to get prepared for the next gym battle.

"I can't- I can't run anymore" You panted, finally catching upto Ash with the rest, "Why is this boy always in a hurry?!"
"Running off like that? The battle club isn't going anywhere you know, you're such a kid" Iris said, but Ash didn't paid any attention to her and instead went on searching for trainers until he found someone and gasped, "You scared me to death!" Iris scolded
"Look it's Trip!" Ash exclaimed
"Where?!" You and Arlo gasped, pushing Ash away from the screen to see.
"Trip's here at the battle club?" You asked
"So who's Trip?" Iris asked
"I had no idea he was in town" Cilan said, ignoring Iris
"You know Trip?" Arlo asked
"He challenged the Striaton gym too and won a badge" he informed
"He must've done really well" Ash said
"Will you four please stop the private conversation and tell me who Trip is?" Iris pouted, feeling somewhat left out.
"Yeah, he's a trainer we met at professor juniper's lab" Ash informed, "the first trainer I battled with at the Unova region"
"And lost" Arlo teased
"Will you stop reminding me of that!" Ash whined, "alright, I'm gonna battle Trip again!"

Suddenly a stranger spoke up, "'Right, got it. When it comes to battling, you leave it to us. Welcome to the Pokémon Battle Club. So you want to have a battle with Trip, eh? What's your name, son?" Don George asked behind them.
"My name's Ash."

After a bit of introduction, Don George spoke again, "Allow me to get Trip for you. I'll contact him on the XTransceiver."
"XTransceiver?" Ash asks.
"It let's you communicate with anyone anywhere, so no matter where they are you can contact them easily." Don George explained.
"Oh never knew Trip also have one" You said, checking your own F/C XTransceiver.
"You have one too?!" Ash gasped, "How come I never knew..." He frowned.

Within a few moments, Trip accepted the call and Don George greeted, "Hello, Trip. I have someone here who'd like to have a Pokémon battle with you." He said moving the screen aside as Ash walked on-screen.
"Hey, Trip! Long time no see!"
"It's Ash. So you're in town, too?" Trip asked.
Iris and Cilan then pushed Ash away, "That's right! He's traveling with us and my name's Iris. Glad to meet you."
"Looks like you're doing well, Trip." Cilan complimented.
"Cilan? From the Striaton City Gym?" Trip asked in shock.
"Right. All five of us are traveling together."

You and Arlo stood away, kinda cringed out to see how Cilan and Iris kind of forced themselves on the screen, talking to Trip.

"They're...kinda weird" You sweatdropped
"Mhm, I agree..."

Ash then pushed the two away and said, "So, you wanna have a battle with me? What do ya say, Trip?"
"Thanks, but no thanks. What's the point of battling your pikachu when it lost to my snivy, which had zero experience back then? It'd be a waste of time."
"No way! Pikachu wasn't in very good shape back then. We weren't able to use electric-type moves because of zekrom! Pikachu's not my only Pokémon! I've got a bunch of other Pokémon since then!" Ash shouted, shaking the machine.

Don George placed his hands on Ash's shoulders, "Now, take it easy. Calm down."
"Ash stop! You will break the system!"
"And quiet down while you're at it" Trip said walking in, "I could hear that loud mouth of yours all the way down the street." He sighed.
"Great! So Trip, you're gonna have a battle with me?" Ash said running near him.
"Maybe. If we're gonna have a six-on-six full battle I guess it's worth doing."
"A full battle? Uh, I really can't do that. I only have five Pokémon, still." He admitted.
"Just five?"
"Yeah, but look, I already won a badge." Ash said, showing the trio badge.
"I already won two badges." Trip smirked.
"Two badges? You mean it?" Ash asked in disbelief.
