Chapter 71: Leaving Sinnoh

"And the winner of Snowpoint City's Iceberg Race is Y/N and Seaking! Congratulations!" The announcer's words spreads throughout the city while you scream in delight at your victory.

"I'm so proud of you, Seaking!" You yelled from the top of the boat, wanting to hug your pokémon but unfortunately can't as it was in the freezing water.

"Aw man! I was so close" Dawn sighed, "but it's okay, you did great too, Piplup!" The runner up, Dawn said to Piplup who was beside Seaking.
"We were close too!" Barry pouted
"How- my calculations just went downhill at the last moment!" Conway sulk at a corner.
"Guess your calculations were justt wrong~" you stuck you tongue out and giggled.

A/N: wait wait wait—what happened suddenly? A few days ago you bid goodbye to Ash and the rest and were getting ready to leave for Hearthome city with Dawn the next day, but snowpoint city? Iceberg race? Seaking? Barry? Conway? You're the winner? What happened to photoshoot?

Two days ago

You and Dawn left the next morning after saying goodbye to the three last afternoon.

You came up with a brilliant plan which would take you and Dawn to Hearthome in just two hours as you practically knew every place in Sinnoh now.

"We would head straight to Jubilife after Sandgem, then take a shortcut to Oreburgh, by dodging the forests, then go to Roark, who would probably be in the mine or gym. There's a cave hidden there, which will take us straight to Hearthome in less than hour. As we are friends with Roark, he'll give us access to go through the cave." You proudly told your masterplan.

"And you're sureeee that Roark will let us use the cave?" Dawn asked with a 'not sure face'.
"He will have to. We are friends afterall" You smirked like a 'know-it-all' person and started walking with a disappointed Dawn following you.

Even Piplup and Spearow were disappointed, but their jaws were DROPPED when your plan worked and were standing infront of the desired building in two hours.

"Damn"

Hermione was there throughout the whole shoot and you absolutely had the best time there, posing with Dawn, Gallade and Buneary.

It took about an hour to finish the shoot, but Hermione said that you two were needed again after five days.

So with no literal aim, you two walked out of the building.

Barry and Conway out of nowhere showed up instantly and said that they were on their way to Snowpoint for the Iceberg Race which was happening in two days, so you and Dawn decided to enter as well to kill the boredom.

Back to Present

"I wonder how the people here can deal with t-t-this c-cold- acchhoo!" You sneezed and quickly covered your entire face with another scarf, "i thought I wouldn't come back to this place again!"

Dawn sweatdropped, "Y/N, your entire face is red"
"I absolutely knew it! But thanks for confirming" you sarcastically shouted.
"Hey, Dawn, wasn't Paul from Snowpoint?" Conway asked, making you choke on air.
"Paul? Oh yeah! He was!"
"PAUL IS FROM SNOWPOINT?!" Barry asked with stars in his eyes, like a fanboy, "SO HE CAME BACK HERE AFTER HE LOST?!"
"Yeah, according to Ash, he did" Dawn says, making you cough even more

'someone stop them! I don't want to see Paul!' "uhm guys-"
"He said that Paul wanted to challenge Brandon, the pyramid king, so he probably is here. Hey, we can meet up with him if you all want to!"
'HELL NO!' "wait D-Dawn-"
"But what if he's not home? Maybe he's out somewhere training? We can't search the entire city"
"Yes!" You shouted with a relieved smile, "that's what I was trying to say all this time! He's probably not at home! We should just go to the gym and meet up with Candice and Zoey!"
