Chapter 64: Top Coordinator?!

You barely listen to Marian and Fantina's opening speech and instead think about how to defeat Zoey, who's standing right in front of you on the stage.

"On my left, it's Zoey! And on my right, it's Y/N! We will soon learn which one of them will he advancing on to the final stage! Five minutes on the clock and begin!"
"Mismagius! Leafeon! Once again it's curtain, go!"
"Butterfree and Eevee, I choose you!"

"Leafeon use Energy ball and Mismagius, thunder wave!"
"Eevee use your tail to throw the ball up in the air! And Butterfree, now use bug buzz!" Red lights of circles starts to form around Butterfree and spreads throughout the stage, which causes Leafeon to trembles and lower it's ears.
However, Eevee not being a grass type like Leafeon doesn't affect him, "now use Ice beam on the stage and dance around!" Eevee follows your command and skates around the field, wrapping the streamers of the bug buzz around it's tail to dance around the stage, causing a serious loss of points for Zoey.

The fusion energy ball of Zoey's which was up in the air starts to fall on the ground at extreme speed and Butterfree immediately uses the bug buzz to attack the energy ball, creating a stunning explosion, which makes Zoey remain with half points.

The crowd gasps at such a performance and losing of points within a minute.

Zoey thinks for a moment, before coming up with another move, "Mismagius, Leafeon, double team, let's go!" Clones of both the pokémons surrounds your pokémons.
"Alright, Eevee use dig non-stop and Butterfree use bug buzz again and fly up!"
Butterfree uses bug buzz as a trail which again affects Leafeon and flies up in the sky to escape, while eevee creates numerous holes in the half-frozen field.

Your points get deducted just a bit due to the repeat but still the display makes Zoey lose more points than you.

"Now eevee double team underground and shadow ball!"
"Leafeon, no!" While Mismagius was safe, Leafeon, who was already weak due to the bug buzz, got hit by a shadow ball.
"Now, Butterfree, use Sleep powder! And eevee stay under ground!"
The sleep powder gracefully falls from Butterfree's wings as it flies in circle above, and both of Zoey's pokémons starts to fall asleep, "now to finish it off, Eevee use magical leaf and come up and Butterfree spread it using gust.

"And it's over!" Marian announces and Zoey loses all her remaining points due to the pokémons sleeping, "and the winner of this amazing semi-final battle is Y/N! So Y/N will be advancing to the final stage!" You smile widely and hug the two pokémon and the crowds cheers in delight.

Zoey shakes her head and returns her pokémons, "you two did great, I'm proud of you" She smiles as the ball and walks over to you, "Hey, Y/N, congrats!"
"Thank you Zoey" You smile back.
"I hope you would be giving us the best final battle!"
"I'll try my best!"

The next match starts with Dawn and Nando, where he uses Lopunny and Kricketune against Dawn's Cyndaquill and Buneary but loses soon.

"So it's tomorrow" You say
"No matter who wins, we all will be happy for you two" Brock reassures.
"You both came so far, so let's just rest for a bit today!" Barry says
"Alright then, Y/N, let's go!" Dawn grins and runs to the center with you.

"And the grand festival final battle is finally taking place today! On my left is Y/N and on my right, it's Dawn! Five minutes on the clock and begin!"
"Piplup, Togekiss, spotlight!"
"Minun, Clefairy, c'mon out!"

You both look at each other and smile, thinking about all the things you two went through together to come to this stage.

"Alright, piplup, jump!" Piplup jumps on togekiss as it flies up, "now togekiss, aura sphere, and piplup use bubble beam!" The bubble beam surrounds the aura sphere creating a pretty combination move.
"Alright, now Clefairy use metronome!" And metronome uses ice beam which breaks through the combination move, 'it might be best if I don't use metronome anymore' you sweatdrop, 'it just reminded me of May's skitty's assist' "alright Clefairy, use follow me!"
