I rush through the streets of Newbark Town to get my starter pokémon to start my journey.
I think I woke up late, but it's fine because I called Professor Elm two days ago and told him to keep my starter pokémon with him who i chose after a lot of procrastination for several days.

"Professor Elm, it's me Lizzia! I'm here to pick Chikorita up!"
"Oh so you're Lizzia, hm?" He asks me while getting up from his seat
"Yeah, it's me!" I grin widely, "nice to meet you"
"Nice to meet you too" he smiled and threw a ball in the air, from which the grass type came out, "and Chikorita, here's the trainer you'll be living with for the rest of your life"

My eyes lights up, seeing my absolutely favourite pokémon of all time, right in front of me.
"Hi chikorita" I pick it up from the ground, "is it a boy or a girl?"
"It's a boy, this chikorita is really friendly and loves humans" "chiko!"
"Awww that's wonderful! I'm so glad that i can be your trainer, chikorita"

Professor Elm then hands me my red coloured dex with five pokéballs and I officially step out of the lab as a pokémon trainer.

"Hold up!-" i almost trip and fall, but gladly chikorita catches me with vine whip
"I ALMOST FELL DOWN!"
"I'm sorry" Professor Elm nervously laughs, "i just wanted to let you know that I already contacted Nurse Joy to let her know you'll be going there to register for the upcoming league, tata"
"Oh yeah! I completely forgot about that registration thing!" I sigh, "so chikorita, is it okay if I keep you around with me outside the ball? I never had a pokémon before, so I wanna spend some time with you!" "Chikko!" The grass type eagerly nodded as i picked him up and walked towards the center.

"Hello, welcome to the pokémon center" "chansey!" "By any chance, are you, Lizzia?"
"Yes! I think Professor told you about me before"
"Mhm, of course he did, here, you can hand me the pokédex and I'll register you for the league" she says and I give her the dex and almost immediately get it back.
"Thank you for the help, Nurse Joy" I smile, "and also, can you tell me how to get to Violet City as fast as possible? I want to challenge Falkner first!"
"Violet city, huh?" She thinks, "I would say, you should head to Cherrygrove first, then walk straight and you'll be there, but it'll take a day or two"
"Alright, thank you so much again!"

I immediately walk out of the center and think, "If I take the bus, it'll be faster, right?" I look at chikorita, "I really don't wanna walk all the way- eek!" I shriek, seeing how many girls are running down the streets like crazy, "woah, what's going on?!"
"Don't you know who's in the contest today?" A man who was walking nearby, came over and asked me
"Uhm contest?"
"Oh so you don't know..i see...but just to let you know, some famous coordinators are participating in the Newbark Town contest hall today, so the girls freaking out is obvious..." He sighs, "my daughter is also a crazy fan of one of the coordinators, named Drew, sadly for her, he already likes someone" he says and walks away.

"What in the world even is a coordinator? Nevermind! I should probably start travelling to Violet City, or else I wouldn't be able to meet Falkner!" I blush, creeping chikorita out, "sorry bud, but I can't help it! I've been wanting to meet Falkner for a long time! Him and Morty are my childhood crushes and i absolutely can't wait to talk to them!" I squeak and grab Chikorita before starting to run.
