A/N: I WASN'T SUPPOSED TO WRITE THIS CHAPTER AND DIRECTLY JUMP TO SINNOH LEAGUE- But then I realised I needed to give Paul and Barry more attention, so here you go, a goofy chapter before the league<3 sorry if there're any errors-

...

As the grand festival got over, your main focus was on winning the Sinnoh league now.

But first of all, you needed to know if the grand festival's trophy got back to your home safely or not, so while Ash trained with Dawn and Brock on an empty field, you and Arlo went to the city, to call your parents.

"Hey mom! How're you?" You greet and ask as soon as the screen lits up, while Arlo chats with his mom on the booth beside yours.
"N/N! My Lil top coordinator" she grins, making you grin widely too "I'm doing great-oh! Before I forget, the grand festival trophy got delivered yesterday and I kept it in your room"
"Well Spearow, looks like we got our answer before we could even question" you giggle with the bird.
"Aren't you gonna start training? The Sinnoh league isn't far away too y'know"
"I know mom, it's just that, I'm taking a break today. All the stress of grand festival and constant practicing after that is making me frustrated not gonna lie" you pout
"Alright alright, just don't overwork nor get too lazy, Kay? You gotta win the Sinnoh league too, right?"
"Right!" You smile and said goodbye to her before closing the booth

"You ready to go?" Arlo asks
"Yeah, c'mon" you and Arlo exit the pokémon center and stretch arms once you feel the sunlight on your skin "say Arlo, we've been through a lot now, right?"
"Of course" he nods "so much happened in the last month, from chasing down Team Galactic to eventually taking them down"
"To capture the pokémon we can't name" you joke
"And to winning the grand festival" Arlo finishes
"If I actually decided to train today, my brain might've exploded" you joke again and pull a guide book out, "alright, now where're we going today?"
"Hmmmm, there's a-"
"Y/N LOOK! A POKÉPLAY!"
"A poké-what?"

Arlo looks at you disappointed, "you don't know what a poképlay is?"
"No?"
"Well, it's like a drama where people dress up as pokémon and you know! How a drama usually happens!"
"Ohh!!! Those children things!"
"Don't call that "children things""
"DON'T TELL ME THAT YOU WANT TO WATCH THAT TWO HOUR LONG DRAMA"
"BUT I WANT TO!"

Your jaw drops on the ground, "no way"
"Yes way"
"Arlo no, I'm not kidding, I really can't watch a kids play for two hours straight" you frown 'but Arlo never asks for anything honestly, and it's a day off...I think I should let him watch it...' you look back at the small park where a bunch of kids were taking their seats and by the looks of the cast, it looked like the play was gonna start soon, "alright" you smile "I'm gonna pick you up in two hours okay? I think it's fine to leave you alone there"

"Really? Thank you! But where will you go?"
"I'll just roam around this city to keep myself busy, don't worry about me" You reassure and watch him go and sit among so many children and sigh, "now what about me? Where should I go?"

You start to walk, not knowing where to go honestly, until you saw a pokémart and realise Brock told you to buy some pokéfood on your way back.

The automatic door closes behind you, once you're inside and start to look for the food Brock usually buys.

"Oh there it is!" You spot the pack and reach to get it, until your hand collides with another person's, "oh I'm sorry-Paul?" You look at him in surprise and move your hand back, "i didn't knew you were in this city too!"
"I'm here just to buy the pokéfood, and then I'm leaving this city" He bluntly states and grabs the food.

You look at him and frown, honestly, you wanted to know if he knew about you winning the grand festival, you didn't knew why you wanted a "congratulations" from him, but you wanted one. Atleast one acknowledgement will make you happy anyways.
