"So I decided a team, a long time ago" you confess, "long before the entire league started"
"Huh? What do you mean by that?"
"I see...with my God gifted calculation skills" Conway started, making you groan, "and all the events I heard about the last match with Paul, I'm sure you're going with the team you last battled with Paul, am i correct?"
"No way she'll repeat the same team-"
"I hate how correct you're, Conway" you sigh
"WHAT?!"
"You can't be serious...so you mean you'll use the same team again? He would know everything about your team!" Arlo says
"He will, but this time, it'll be a bit different....i evolved four of the pokémons which battled Paul, which means my team is; Spearow, Magmortar, Electivire, Honchkrow, Magnezone and Gallade-" you stop and look at the bird beside you, "yeah..."
"Hmmm...the team isn't that bad, but I would say you should have Lapras or Seaking instead of Honchkrow, because Spearow will take care of the flying type and having a water type will come in handy" Brock suggests
"Yeah...but I have a different idea in my mind...I'm not sure if Spearow will agree to this or not...but I just want to use...."

You decided to take a stroll to clear your mind up a bit, and plan something up for the upcoming battle, until you hear someone training nearby.

"That sounds like Paul's voice" You whisper to yourself and walk to check out who's training.
"Use, frenzy plant!" Paul orders Torterra, "now, Weavile, use icy wind-huh?" Paul turns around and sees you, "what're you doing here?"
"Oh so I'm caught, eh?" You laugh and walk near him, "I can't fall asleep, so I decided to walk around a bit"
"So I'm putting you through a lot of pressure now?" He asks, surprising you that he can actually act friendly.
"You can say so" He giggle, "but seeing you train with your entire team, I can assume that I'm also putting you under similar pressure?"
"Maybe. Training is important anyways"
"Hmmm, well, whoever is the strongest may win tomorrow" You says, "but won't you go to sleep?"
"Later, I still have to train them a bit before falling asleep"
"You know sleeping is important, but I know you always push your pokémons as much as you can, so I can't force you and your team to take rest, so...um I'm gonna go and try to sleep, goodnight!" You smile and walk away, being happy that Paul is finally talking to you.

Unknown to you, someone stopped training that night and went to sleep immediately after, giving his team the rest they needed.

You still can't believe the fact that Paul is standing opposite to you, IN THE LEAGUE.

'My worst nightmare is here...i thought I'll lose way before but I guess Arceus granted Paul and Reggie's wish...if I win today' you grab one ball from your belt, and clutch it tightly, 'I'll finally consider to think that I'm actually strong' "GO, HONCHKROW!"
"Magmortar, stand by for battle!"

"Oh boy, this is gonna be the most epic match so far!" Barry exclaims
"Couldn't agree more!" Arlo beams
"hey...WHY IS THAT HONCHKROW PINK?!"
"It's a shiny, Barry, calm down" Conway sighs
"Whoever wins in this round, might face Ash in the future" Brock says
"So that means, we can see an Ash vs Paul or Y/N in the finals?" Dawn asks
"We can surely hope for that" Brock replies
"Now I can't wait any longer! Y/N! PAUL! LET'S MAKE SURE ONE OF YOU MEETS ME IN THE FINAL ROUND"

Paul doesn't look at Ash, but you surely do, and is pretty weirded out about it, 'he doesn't even know if he's gonna win or not and is already thinking about the finals...i really need his confidence'

"Alright, Honchkrow, start with Wing Attack!"

A large collision happens and Honchkrow jolts away from magmortar.
