Chapter 59: Clefairy!

While on the way to Lilypad city for Dawn's next contest, the gang along with Lyra and Khoury stopped to give their pokémons snacks.

Dawn happily gives her newly hatched Cyndaquill food who starts to eat it as fast as he can, but it starts to argue with piplup which makes Brock say that Cyndaquill should have a battle and you happily volunteer to be her opponent.

"Alright, let's see what moves Cyndaquill can use" Dawn says, checking her dex out "Cyndaquill is able to use the following moves; Flamewheel, swift and smokescreen." The pink dex replies.
"Those are some great moves right off"
"Dawn, ready to go?"
"You bet, Y/N"
"Alright, Staraptor, use quick attack!"
"Cyndaquill use smokescreen!"
"Blow the smokescreen away!"

While the battle is going on, Lyra's Marill decides to wander away.

"Now use aerial ace!" Staraptor throws Cyndaquill up into the air and goes back to its initial place.
"Cyndaquill use smokescreen!" From the air, the fire type uses smokescreen again "follow up with Swift!"
Swift catches Staraptor off guard and does a great damage.

"Alright, that's enough for now!" Brock says "Just because it's Cyndaquill's first battle, let's take it easy"

Piplup decides to cheer Staraptor up, but sees Cyndaquill getting all the attention from Dawn and others, makes him jealous, so he eats the poffin which was made for Cyndaquill, thus creating a scene.

Khoury suddenly informs that Marill is no where to be found and everyone starts to find Marill, until Piplup and Cyndaquill in middle of their competition of finding Marill first, discovers a factory like huge building.

"What's that?" Arlo asks
Khoury takes out his and scans the building, "It's the valley windworks"
"Oh, the valley windworks!" Ash exclaims
"Marill might've gone in there!" Lyra exclaims in horror
"Then let's go and check the inside out!" You say and run with the others towards the open gate to see Marill running inside.
"Marill!" Lyra shouts, but the main gate closes behind Marill which scares her even more.

Everyone rushes inside the windwork and Piplup immediately gets electrocuted by a magmemite.
"Hey look a magmemite!" Arlo says
"Maybe they're here to guard the windoworks!" Brock tells.

The magnemites starts to attack everyone, thinking that they're intruders, but the gang manages to escape and get into the security room.

A guard who was sleeping, wakes up to tell the magnemites that the gang wasn't there to harm anyone and everyone spots marill from the CCTV camera.
Thanking the guard, everyone goes to the basement to get Marill, but at the same time Team Rocket messes with the power and the metallic door closes automatically, locking everyone inside, but Piplup, Cleffa and Clefairy outside in the hallway.

Khoury proceeds to panic, thinking that they'll forever be locked in here
"Dude are you being serious right now?" Arlo deadpans "even i'm brave enough"
"HELLO, CAN ANYONE HEAR US??" Everyone excluding you yells
"You all think that anyone will hear us?" You frown
"Then how are we supposed to get out?!" Ash yells
"By using this brain over here in the head" you point at Ash's head in annoyance
Ash stares at you blankly for a bit before exclaiming, "YES! I got it! Pikachu, use thunderbolt on the door!" Pikachu follows Ash's orders, but instead of the door breaking or anything, Piplup and Cleffa who were standing really close to the door screams in pain

"CLEFFA!" "PIPLUP! ARE YOU OKAY?!" You and Dawn look at Ash in anger
"You really think that attacking a METALLIC door will break down? Its a Windmill not Team Rocket's cheap base!"
