Umbridge was quick to start inspecting the teachers. Almost with a fanatical edge to it if Amelia had to describe it. This woman enjoyed power and status. If she was told that this woman had a Death Eater club card, she would not be surprised.

Yet there was not much she could do really. Most of the inspections didn't occur while the Slytherins were present. She had only heard of McGonagall being inspected, which didn't looked to be going Umbridge's way. Amelia would be surprised if Umbridge could shake the tough-as-nails McGonagall.

"She was quite taken aback by how fierce McGonagall was," Hermione said as they went off to Ancient Runes. "It was very- satisfying- to see."

"I can imagine. I haven't seen her during any classes yet," Amelia said. "I can imagine she'll be moving through those closest to Dumbledore first. You know, since the Ministry is going after Dumbledore."

"I think you're right about that. Well, I am sure she won't have anything against Professor Babbling. Aside from her being very talkative and upbeat, she's quite normal for any standard."

"Mhmm, I suspect you're right. And, honestly, not many choose Ancient Runes. We're only with ten people. Everyone rather pick Muggle studies or Divination," Hermione said. "Easier to get a passing grade and an OWL."

"Yeah, typically student behaviour. Anyway," Amelia chuckled, her hand taking Hermione's gently. "It's my favourite class for many reasons."

"Oh?"

"Well, for one, you're sitting next to me. That would make even the dullest lecture of Binns the most interesting lecture I ever heard," Amelia said. It made Hermione flushed with a bright smile as she squeezed Amelia's hand. "Besides, that, I guess, it is also an interesting topic."

"Well, I am convinced your reasons are sound," Hermione said brightly.

The two entered the classroom which was smaller compared to the other classrooms. Still, the half circular room had enough room for twenty to thirty students. Somehow, Amelia was convinced that the previous war caused the sharp decline in the student body.

Amelia sat down at a wooden desk closest to the immense blackboard. Neither she nor Hermione would wish to have their view blocked. Professor Babbling was sitting behind her desk, her hand looked slightly whiter as if her last period made her slightly angry.

"I think we missed Umbridge's inspection of Professor Babbling," said Amelia softly.

"Even someone as kind as Babbling couldn't stand her," Hermione remarked. "Somehow, I am not surprised. She'd be able to cause the most patient person to become sick of her."

"Yes, a rather cruel talent to have."

"Welcome back to Ancient Runes, please take out your translations," Professor Babbling said to the class.

Despite what must have been a horrible experience with Umbridge, Professor Babbling held onto her upbeat nature. Amelia and Hermione's translations were flawless which seemed to make most of Babbling's annoyance disappear. They were not people that brag, but Hermione and Amelia were pleased to know they could brighten people's days just by being excellent.

Once class was over, the two were going down the corridors before they had to split up again. Hermione was going to Defence Against the Dark Arts while Amelia had History with Binns. Not a particularly exciting class, but at the very least it wasn't a very hard class.

Whether it was by chance or fate, but they reached a crossroad of hallways with a group of students in the centre. Hermione's closest friends, Ron and Harry, were seemingly arguing with their archenemies; Draco along with Goyle, Crabbe, and Blaise. Surrounding them were some on lookers which included students from Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and a few other Slytherins. One of which was Pansy who was observing from the sidelines.
