Chapter 31:

Lisa POV

I woke up when I realized I had fallen asleep a while ago. My eyes are still tired but I still manage to lean my back on the headboard. The room is filled with darkness, but thanks to the moon it became the light temporarily. Then, I remember walking out when Jennie wanted to express her feelings towards me.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't walk out on her because I didn't like her nor didn't care about her, hence, Jennie is the most valuable person for me as of this moment. However, I still have a lot of things to prioritize, I have a purpose for why I'm here. It is because of Chaeyoung.

But somehow, Jennie is right, I'm still confused, I'm wondering why I care for her, why I wanted to stay with her, that Jennie... knows how to make me happy. I know how tough I can be, but I became whipped for her.

On the other hand, Chaeyoung will always be the one I love, the person that I want to live with. I am stuck with the thought that one day, Chae and I will get back together, and we'll be able to continue what we had before.

I chuckled

It will never happen. She's an angel now.

I looked up, I wanted to question him, why does he always get all the people that I love? I don't want to love her, I'm afraid that he'll get her.

I sighed and decided to prepare for our dinner tonight. After a few hours, I was done preparing and I decided to wear some baggy jeans and an oversized shirt but Jennie still didn't come back to our room.

Is she mad? But she said it was okay. I'm staring at the mirror when someone knocks on the door and I'm one hundred percent sure that it is Jennie, I forgot that I locked the door. So, I rushed to open the door and was about to jump and hug her

"I m-"

when I saw who it was.

It's Hana, Jisoo's assistant. She bows to me when she notices that I'm disappointed that she's not the person that I'm expecting.

"Mianhae, Mrs. Kim," She said but I shrugged and smiled fakely.

"Wae [Why]" I said coldly

"Ms. Jisoo said that the dinner is ready." She said, I didn't hissed anything but just nodded at her.

Jennie didn't go here, is she mad at me? I shrugged because she said that she understood.

I decided to walk down the stairs and saw Jisoo sitting at the long table.

Alone

I look from left to right to see if Jennie is also there. But unfortunately, she's not there.

I walk slowly and confused, I didn't even know that Jisoo greeted me, not until she called my name for the second time.

I shook my head and sighed.

"Where's Jennie?" I said because as far as I know, Jisoo arranges a dinner for us, and when I say us it means, including Jennie.

"I thought, she was with you." Jisoo furrowed her brows.

This is very odd, Jennie didn't leave without any words, it's not her forte to avoid someone.

Especially if it's me.

I turn around, I need to find her.

"Hey, where are you going?" Jisoo holds my wrist

"Jennie is supposed to be here. I need to find her." I said but Jisoo held my wrist tightly.
