Darren's POV.
"Are you really going to take photos of me during golden hour just like Derrick?" Tanya asked.
We were in the same sunflower field, looking at the view.
"Ehh, Derrick's photos are not that good, I can do better." I muttered, my voice filled with pride.
Tanya chuckled at my response, rolling her eyes playfully.
"Oh, really? You think you can do better than him, eh?"
I stuck out my chest, pretending to be offended.
"Of course I can. I'm a better photographer than him any day."
She raised an eyebrow, a smirk on her lips.
"Is that so? You're quite the confident one."
I shrugged nonchalantly, pretending to be cocky.
"What can I say? I know my skills. Plus, I have the good angles to make you look even more stunning," I said cheekily.
Her face flushed a little at my compliment, but she quickly composed herself, crossing her arms.
"Don't get too ahead of yourself."
I grinned, pulling my camera out, ready to capture her.
The photo quickly printed out, and I slowly shook it.
I held the picture up for us to see, the golden sunlight enhancing Tanya's features.
"There, look at how good you look," I said, my tone filled with pride.
She took the photo from my hand, looking at it carefully.
Her expression changed from scepticism to surprise as she studied the photo.
"You weren't exaggerating," She admitted, reluctantly. "It's actually good."
I couldn't help but smirk at her comment, feeling a sense of satisfaction at her praise.
"Told you I could do better," I said, still trying to sound cocky.
Tanya rolled her eyes again, but this time, there was a hint of amusement behind her expression.
"Alright, alright, I admit it. You did a good job."
She gave the photo back to me, her fingers brushing against mine as she did so.
The slight touch sent a small jolt through my body, but I tried to ignore it.
"See, it's not so hard to admit that I'm the better photographer," I joked, trying to cover up my reaction.
She laughed at my comment, the sound soft and melodic.
"Don't get too full of yourself now," She teased.
We continued to banter back and forth, the golden hour sunlight fading into the deep blue of the approaching night.
As the sun finally dipped below the horizon, the sky turned into an array of beautiful colours, all blending together in a masterpiece.
We sat there in silence, watching the spectacle in front of us, the only sound being the soft rustling of the sunflowers in the wind.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" I heard Tanya whisper.
There was an almost reverent tone in her voice, a mixture of wonder and awe.
"Yeah... it is, " I agreed, my eyes never leaving the beautiful sight in front of us.
