Tanya's POV.

Two days have past since the date at the resturant.

I was lying in the hotel bed, scrolling through the photos me and Darren took, when suddenly I got a call.

From Isaac.

I blinked at the screen, surprised to see his name pop up.

Taking a deep breath, I answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Tanya." His voice came through the receiver, and I couldn't help but cringe at the sound of it.

It had been a while since I heard his voice, and I wasn't particularly thrilled that he was calling me now..

Especially when I was on vacation with Darren.

"What is it?" I said, trying to keep my voice neutral.

I sat up in bed, still holding my phone to my ear.

There was a pause on the other end of the line, and I could practically feel his hesitation.

"Well..." He started, his voice cautious. "I just wanted to tell you.."

I waited for him to continue, my curiosity piqued.

"Tell me what?" I prompted, tapping my fingers against the hotel duvet impatiently.

"I'M IN PARIS, BABY!" He yelled with enthusiasm, laughing right after.

My eyes widened as his words sunk in.

"Paris?" I repeated, my voice tinged with disbelief. "What do you mean, you're in Paris?!"

"I just landed yesterday, and I wanted to let you know," He explained, his tone cheerful.

"I always wanted to go to Paris, you know, and I finally got the chance."

I felt a pang of excitement, I hadn't seen Isaac for a while after the camp.

"That's... great," I said, trying to keep the surprise out of my voice.

I was still trying to process the fact that Isaac was in the same city as me right now, and I wasn't quite sure how to feel about it.

"I'm staying for a few days or so, maybe more.." He continued. "So I was wondering if you wanted to meet up? Maybe catch up or something. And we could go ice skating?"

I hesitated for a moment, contemplating his offer.

I was in Paris with Darren, and I didn't want to ditch him to meet up with Isaac.

But at the same time, I couldn't deny that a part of me was curious to see him again.

"Alright.." I muttered, "but only if Darren comes along, I don't want to leave him alone."

"Oh, yeah, sure! I haven't talked to him in a while. It'd be great to catch up with him." He responded happily.

I couldn't help but feel a bit relieved that he agreed to Darren coming along.

"Okay," I said, feeling a mix of excitement and trepidation. "We can meet up tomorrow at the ice skating rink."

"Perfect!" Isaac said, his voice filled with excitement.

"I'll text you the address. See you tomorrow, Tanya."

"Yeah, see you tomorrow," I replied, ending the call before slumping back against the headboard.
