Tanya's POV.

I opened my eyes, being gently woken up by Darren.

I looked around, getting met with the familiar surroundings of business class space and Darren next to me.

He smiled, caressing my head as I looked at him.

"Are you ready to eat, sweetheart? They handed us the menu." He whispered gently with affection dripping in his voice.

I kept my arms around him, not wanting to get off his lap as I nodded.

My hair was messy as hell, and he noticed.

Darren ran a hand through my hair, gently untangling the tangles in my hair and fixing it up.

He then cupped my face, placing a kiss on my cheeks.

I was still feeling tired, my eyes closing on its own.

I heard him chuckle.

"Wakey wakey, sweetheart.. You can't sleep forever, can you? You need to eat, too."

With reluctance, I finally opened my eyes, my vision still a bit blurry from sleep.

I looked at Darren, whose face was inches away from mine, his eyes filled with affection as he tidied up my messy hair.

The feeling of his fingers combing through my hair was soothing, but it didn't keep the sleepiness away.

"Mm.. five more minutes.." I mumbled, burying my face into his chest.

Darren chuckled again, his hands still in my hair.

"Nope. You've had enough snooze time. It's time for food."

He pried my face away from his chest, gently lifting my chin up to look at him.

"You can't just skip meals because you're tired, sweetheart." He scolded in a soft tone.

I huffed slightly, knowing he was right.

"But I'm comfortable where I am," I whined, making no effort to move from his lap.

Being this close to him, feeling his warmth and his touch.. I didn't want to move at all.

"You can stay here, I don't mind—in fact, I don't want you to move, too. All I ask you to do is eat, sweetheart." He caressed my spine.

I pouted slightly, not wanting to give in so easily.

"What if I don't want to?" I asked, my voice a mix of playfulness and tiredness.

There was a silence before Darren let out a soft exhale, followed by a chuckle.

"What a spoiled little princess you are." He teased, shaking his head while a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

"Make me the servant and serve you so shamelessly. Do you have no shame, sweetheart?"

That just made me pout.

I crossed my arms, looking away from his eyes and furrowing my eyebrows.

Darren laughed softly at my reaction, his gaze filled with affection.

"Aw, am I in trouble for not babying you?" He teased, tilting his head to the side. "Did I hurt your feelings, little princess?"

Well, that's a nickname he never used.

It reminded me of Isaac, a little bit..

I didn't respond to him, I just stayed still.

Darren chuckled again, amused by my sulky expression.
