Tanya's POV.
A week didn't take long to pass, and Darren said he'd take me on a date back to that old restaurant on the Eiffel Tower.
I got ready for the date, picking out a lovely dress and spending a bit of extra time on my hair and makeup.
I wanted to look nice for Darren.
Finally ready, I grabbed my bag and waited for Darren to get out of the bathroom.
Darren walked out of the bathroom, looking handsome in a nice suit.
He smiled when he saw me.
"You look beautiful." He complimented, his gaze lingering on me.
I blushed at his compliment, feeling my heart flutter.
"Thank you. You look handsome yourself." I said, looking him up and down appreciatively.
Darren came closer, taking my hand in his.
"Are you ready for our date?" He asked, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
I nodded, feeling giddy.
"I'm ready. Let's go." I said, lacing my fingers with his.
Darren led me out of the apartment, his grip on my hand firm but gentle.
We walked down the street, occasionally making small talk as we enjoyed each other's company.
As we approached the Eiffel Tower, my heart started racing with anticipation.
This place held so many memories for us.
We arrived at the restaurant and were escorted to our reserved table.
The view was breathtaking—the city lights twinkling below us and the tower itself basking in its own elegance.
We ordered our food and made small talk, but all the while, there was an air of anticipation.
I could tell that Darren was building up to something.
The waiters served our food, and we began to eat.
Darren was a bit quieter than usual, and his gaze kept darting towards his pocket.
I couldn't help but wonder what he was planning.
After we finished our meal, Darren suggested we take a walk around the tower.
We strolled hand in hand along the terrace, the night air cool against our skin.
Finally, we reached a secluded spot, far away from any other people.
Darren turned to me, his expression suddenly serious.
"The stars always look beautiful," he whispered.
I nodded, my heart already racing.
"They are. The view from up here, it's incredible."
I then looked at Darren, trying to see if I could tell what he was thinking.
Darren took a deep breath as if mustering his courage.
Then, he took my hand in his, looking into my eyes.
"Do you still remember the first time you ever tied my tie for me since I didn't know how to do it?"
Surprised by the unexpected question, I smiled at the memory.
"Of course I do. You looked so adorably clueless, I had to help you."
