Tanya's POV.
My period hadn't come yet.
Okay, maybe this is bad.
I took a few pregnancy tests.
And boom.
I was pregnant.
Holy—
I quickly called up Isaac.
He picked up almost immediately.
"ISAAC, IM FUCKING PREGNANT. WHAT DO I DO?!?!" I yelled without wasting a second—luckily Darren went out.
"WHAT?!" Isaac's voice came through the phone, loud and panicked. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE PREGNANT?!? HOW??"
"WE DIDN'T USE PROTECTION, THAT'S HOW," I yelled back, feeling a mix of panic and anxiety coursing through me. "ISAAC, WHAT DO I DO?"
"Okay, okay. Calm down, first of all." Isaac tried to soothe me, but I could hear the hint of panic in his own voice. "Have you taken a pregnancy test to confirm it?"
"YOU THINK IM STUPID? I TOOK THREE TESTS AND THEY'RE ALL POSITIVE." I yelled again, my heart pounding in my chest.
"Okay, okay. Damn, this is... this is serious." Isaac said, the initial shock starting to wear off into a more serious tone. "Okay, I'm gonna be over there in ten minutes. Stay calm until I get there, alright?"
I took a deep, shaky breath.
"Okay.. okay. I'll wait." I said, trying to keep my voice steady.
Isaac was silent for a moment before speaking again.
"And don't tell anyone until I get there. Especially Darren."
"Yeah, yeah, I won't tell anyone." I said, still feeling the anxiety and panic swirling through me.
I hang up the phone and sat down on the edge of the bed, trying to process the fact that I was pregnant.
Ten minutes passed, and there was a knock on the door.
I got up from the bed and answered the door, and there was Isaac, looking just as panicked as I felt.
He rushed in, closing the door behind him, and immediately pulled me into a tight hug.
"Tanya.." he said, his voice a mix of concern and disbelief. "Are you okay? I can't .. I can't believe this is happening."
I clung to him, feeling the tears well up in my eyes.
"I.. I don't know, Isaac. I'm scared. I'm terrified. I.. I don't know what to do."
He held me tighter.
"It's okay, Tanya. It's going to be okay. We'll figure this out. Okay? I'm here for you."
"How am I going to tell him, though.. I mean.. I was thinking maybe it'd take time for me to get pregnant since it usually takes lots of times of doing it unprotected to get pregnant. But being pregnant almost immediately?" I said.
Isaac was quiet as he processed my words.
He pulled back slightly, looking at me with a mixture of surprise and concern.
"Yeah, usually it does take some time for people to get pregnant when they're not being careful.. but wow, maybe you guys got.. really lucky, or really unlucky in terms of how fast it happened."
He ran a hand through his hair, clearly grappling with the situation.
"Darren is going to be a father, wow." He said mostly to himself.
I let out a shaky breath, still trying to wrap my mind around everything.
"I know.. Darren is going to be a father. And I am going to be a mother."
Isaac took my hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"Hey, you're gonna be a great mom, okay? You're strong, and you've got me and the rest of the crew behind you. We'll all do everything we can to support you.
"And, well, how about you take a bit of time before telling him? A week, maybe?" He suggested.
I exhaled slowly, considering his suggestion.
"A week..? You mean, I should wait a week before telling Darren about the pregnancy?"
I looked at Isaac, seeking his support.
He nodded, his expression sympathetic.
"I think it might be a good idea to take some time and process everything. You know, get your thoughts in order and figure out how you want to tell him. Plus, you need some time to mentally prepare yourself, too."
I let out a small sigh, torn between wanting to tell Darren right away and taking some time to think things through.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. It would be.. a lot to take in for him. And for myself." I said, still trying to come to terms with the idea of being pregnant.
"Exactly. So, just take a week, okay? Take some time for yourself, and then we can sit down and figure out the best way to break the news to Darren." Isaac reassured me.
I nodded. "Okay, a week. I can do that."
I wiped the tears from my face.
"What.. What should I do for a week, though? Just.. pretend like nothing's wrong and go about my life as usual?"
Isaac wrapped his arm around my shoulder, giving me a comforting squeeze.
"Pretty much. Just try your best to act normal. If Darren notices something's off, you can just tell him you're feeling a bit under the weather or something. You know, something temporary."
I nodded again, feeling a mix of emotions.
"Right. Act normal, pretend like nothing's wrong. I can do that. I just hope Darren doesn't see through it.."
I paused for a moment, then asked, "What.. What if I start showing? What do I do when it becomes obvious that I'm pregnant?"
Isaac thought for a moment, then answered.
"For now, maybe you can wear loose-fitting clothes if you start feeling like it's getting noticeable. Or, you can claim you've just eaten a little too much food and gained a bit of weight. It won't be obvious in the first month, so you have some time to cover it up if needed."
I nodded, appreciating his advice.
"Alright, loose clothing and claiming weight gain if necessary. Got it."
I took a deep breath, feeling slightly more reassured after talking things through with Isaac.
"If It makes you feel better, we could go out. Distraction." He suggested.
I looked up at him, feeling grateful for his support.
"Yeah.. yeah, a distraction would be nice. I need something to take my mind off of things, even just for a little while."
Isaac smiled at me, offering a reassuring smile.
"Come on, then. Let's go outside and clear your head for a bit."
He put his arm around my shoulder and led me towards the door.
