Tanya's POV.
It was finally time for the event..
It was a famous fashion event where CELEBRITIES were gonna be at.
I walked in, and I swear to you, the number of Paparazzi was countless.
As I walked in, cameras flashed in my face and questions were thrown at me left and right.
I put on my signature smile and continued walking in, pretending to act calm despite the constant flashes of the cameras.
The red carpet was a blur of cameras and reporters.
I held Daniel's arm, trying to maintain my smile as we stopped to pose for photos.
I could faintly hear some compliments as well, but they were quickly drowned out by the noise of the crowd.
Daniel stayed composed, answering some questions and politely ignoring others.
We continued down the red carpet, stopping every few steps to pose for more photos.
A female reporter pushed her way through the crowd and stood in front of me, holding a microphone.
"Excuse me, hello," She said, "Do you mind answering a few questions?"
I knew I couldn't refuse, so I smiled politely.
"Of course, go ahead," I replied, hoping I sounded confident.
The reporter smiled back, looking excited for some juicy information.
"Firstly, let me say you look stunning tonight," She flattered me.
"Thank you," I said, still trying to maintain my smile.
I wasn't sure where this was going, but I knew I had to remain poised.
The reporter then moved on to her questions.
"So, I'm curious," She began, "how long have you and Daniel been dating?"
I expected that question, but it still caught me off guard.
Before I could respond, Daniel stepped in, wrapping his arm around my waist.
"We've been together for a few months now," He answered smoothly, giving my waist a subtle squeeze.
I nodded in agreement, playing along.
The reporter seemed satisfied with his answer, and moved on to the next question.
"And can you tell us a little bit more about how you two met?"
Daniel then began recounting the tale we had perfected, describing how we had met at a random party and hit it off instantly.
I chimed in with a few comments here and there to make the story more believable.
I couldn't help but be a little impressed by Daniel's ability to lie so effortlessly.
It was clear that the reporters and crowd were eating up our romantic tale, buying into the idea of us as an unlikely yet perfect couple.
The questioning went on for a good ten minutes, with Daniel fielding most of the questions like a pro.
The reporters seemed satisfied, and the crowd seemed entertained, but I was growing tired of all the attention.
As I was looking around the whole room, I suddenly noticed... Darren.
With Anika.
Shit.
I felt my heart drop into my stomach.
What the hell was he doing here?
But boy, who am I kidding?
