Darren's POV.

God, she was so goddamn beautiful.

I had to suppress the sudden urge to take her back to that bed and make us both very late to school.

But, I restrained myself, knowing that she was right.

We really would be late if I didn't stop thinking about her this way.

I grabbed my bag and followed her out of the room, forcing myself to focus on getting to school instead of the way she walked in her damn uniform.

My eyes kept straying to the way the skirt hugged her curves, the way her long legs moved with each step...

I mentally cursed myself, trying to keep my mind from wandering.

But, God, it was hard..

We walked in silence, the only sound being the echo of our footsteps on the pavement.

I glanced at her from the corner of my eye, taking in her profile, the way her hair fell over her shoulder..

Shortly after, I heard footsteps behind me.

I looked behind to see her brother.

"Morning." He greeted, his hands shoved in his pockets.

I nodded in acknowledgement, not sure how to act in front of her brother.

The guy had given me some pretty intense glares here and there in the past.

"Good morning." I replied stiffly, my eyes flickering to the girl next to me briefly.

"Came here early to pick up my sister?" He said, his tone a bit cold.

"Yeah. Just wanted to drive her to school.." I said, trying to sound casual, but I could feel his eyes on me.

I could tell the guy wasn't exactly fond of me, but I couldn't blame him.

I would be the same if she were my little sister.

Right behind Ryan, came running another guy..

I didn't know who he was..

He looked Indian.

Tanya looked at him, a smile forming on her lips.

"Hey Brandon," She greeted.

"Hiya Jaanuuu!!" He replied, then looked at me. "And oh, heyy.."

I just nodded at him, a bit surprised by his energetic greeting.

I glanced at Tanya, seeing the way she smiled at him.

"Jaanu?" I repeated, the unfamiliar word making me curious.

"Yeah, it's a Hindi word, which I think means 'my loved one'.." Tanya explained, a hint of amusement in her voice.

I just nodded, trying to keep my expression neutral.

"I see.." I muttered, a pang of jealousy growing.

I watched as Brandon and Tanya talked, their conversation flowing effortlessly.

My grip on the strap of my bag tightened as I tried to push the annoying feeling away.

I could feel Ryan's intense gaze on me.

It felt like he was trying to drill a hole through my head.

I met his gaze, trying to feign confidence and not show any weakness.

But deep down, I was a bit intimidated.

The guy was actually shorter but had the aura of someone who could easily kick my ass.
