Tanya's POV.

A few days passed, and camp seemed to get better and better.

Darren spent lots of time with me, and it made me feel very happy.

The night had come by, and so it was time for everyone to get back to their cabins.

Just as I was about to get back to mine, with Isaac probably waiting for me, I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder.

Anika.

I turned around to look at her with a confused look.

"Uh, yes?" I said.

"Tanya.." She said softly.

"I need to talk to you privately." She whispered, seeming down.

I was taken aback by her suddenly asking to talk to me, but I nodded slowly, unsure of what was going on.

"Uh, yeah, sure," I replied, looking around to see if anyone was around us. "What is it?"

"Come with me, please."

I hesitated for a moment, but something about her tone made me agree.

"Okay.." I said, reluctantly following her as she started leading me away from the cabins.

We walked in silence through the forest.

I was getting creeped out a bit, but soon enough, we reached..

A lake.

I was stunned by how beautiful it looked, the moonlight shimmering on the top.

"I wanted to bring you here to apologise," She softly said.

I couldn't help but be shocked.

Anika.. apologising to me?

"W-wait, wait, wait," I held up a hand, "You want to apologise? To me?"

Anika nodded, looking slightly ashamed.

"Yes... I do. I know we haven't exactly been on friendly terms, but.. I'm sorry. I want to clear up the air between us."

I was speechless for a moment.

Never in a million years did I expect Anika to apologise to me.

But as I looked at her more carefully, I noticed something.

She looked.. miserable.

Her face, while beautiful, was dull and sad.

"Is.. everything alright with you?" I asked slowly, a worried tone to my voice.

Anika stayed silent a moment before looking back at me.

"No.. Not really." She muttered.

This was getting weird, but I was starting to worry for her.

"What.. What happened? You can tell me," I spoke softly, trying to remain calm as I looked at her.

She thought for a second, and then she took steps closer to the lake.

"When I get sad, I always come to this lake.. the water is soothing." She whispered.

I followed her, standing next to her as we looked at the lake together.

There were no lights around us, just the moon was lighting the water up, making it sparkle.

Anika sighed, closing her eyes for a moment.

"Do you forgive me?" She suddenly asked.

I took a moment to think.
