Five minutes before.

Tanya's POV.

I haven't been in Paris for a while, but somehow, Catherine and Evelyn were able to convince me to come.

"Look, girls, I ain't drinking. So go do whatever you want, I'll be the sober one." I stated.

Catherine just giggled, "Fine, girl. I'm just here to see my boyfriend, nothing else."

Evelyn was looking around.

"There are quite hot men out here." She said, her French accent noticeable. "Maybe I'll go hook up with one."

I just shook my head, trying not to laugh, "Evie..!"

She giggled weirdly.

"Au revoir." She said, blowing a kiss before getting mixed in the crowd.

I looked at Catherine, who was looking around.

"Where is heee?" She whined a bit.

I took a sip of Coca-Cola.

Suddenly, someone came out from the crowd of people.

I almost choked on my drink.

Isaac.

Holy shit.

He was almost shocked to see me as I was.

Isaac slowly wrapped his arms around Catherine, giving her a kiss and smiling at me.

"Well, well, well, isn't it Tanya herself. What's up, princess?" He said.

"Hey Isaac." I replied, mustering a small smile.

Catherine looked at me, her gaze questioning, but she stayed quiet.

Isaac's arm was around Catherine's waist, a picture-perfect couple.

I couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy.

Seeing them together like that, it just reminded me of all the things I had lost.

I took a sip of my drink, my eyes avoiding their direction, pretending to look at the crowd.

"So, how come you're here, Tanya?" Isaac asked, his tone playful yet inquisitive.

I shrugged nonchalantly.

"Oh, you know, just catching up with some girlfriends."

Isaac chuckled.

"Ah, the infamous 'girl time'. Always fun, isn't it?" He teased me.

I laughed.

"Absolutely. Such a coincidence to see you here, damn."

"Yeah, well, you know I'm a party animal." Isaac said, flashing a grin.

He pulled Catherine closer, giving her another kiss.

The display of affection made me cringe inwardly.

"You finally were able to pull," I mentioned. "And it happened to be one of my friends, it's just.. Crazy!"

"Yeah, well, what can I say? I have a talent for captivating beautiful women." Isaac replied with a smirk.

Catherine giggled, rolling her eyes affectionately.

"Oh, stop it, you." She said, shoving his shoulder playfully.

I tried to keep my expression neutral, but inside I was struggling to mask my feelings.

Seeing Isaac with Catherine, the carefree smile he wore effortlessly, it gnawed at me.

I couldn't ignore the pang of jealousy that flared up.
