"Home Sweet Home"

Night falls and we all gathered up around a fire in the field. Rick walked up and down the fence, looking into the courtyard to find something, anything he can find that would prevent us from working our way in. If he spotted something, he would've stopped by now. Lori saved him a bowl of chicken, making sure he would be able to eat. The rest of us ate the delicious bird Daryl had caught earlier within the day.

"Mmm. Just like Mom used to make." Glenn smiles and tosses the bones. I show him a smile.

"Tomorrow we'll put all the bodies together. Wanna keep them away from that water." T announces. "Now, if we can dig a canal under the fence, we'll have plenty of fresh water."

"And this soil is good. We could plant some seeds, grow some tomatoes, cucumbers, soybeans." Hershel approves. "That's his third time around. If there was any part of it compromised, he'd have found it by now."

"This'll be a good place to have the baby. Safe." Beth smiles at Lori. Lori shows her a small smile, nodding her head.

"Bethy, sing Paddy Reilly for me." Hershel, softly calls. "I haven't heard that, I think, since your mother was alive."

"Daddy, not that one, please." Maggie softly begs. Hershel nods his head.

"How about 'The Parting Glass'?" Hershel asks. Beth's brows rise a little.

"No one wants to hear." She shakes her head.

"Why not?" I ask her, giving her a comforting smile. Beth let's out a defeated sigh and looks down.

"Okay." She finally agrees. She looks down, clears her throat and kept her eyes down on the ground.

"Of all the money,

E'er I had,

I had spent it in good company,

And all the harm,

E'er I've ever done,

Alas it was to none but me,

And all I've done,

For want of wit,

To memory now I can't recall

So fill to me,

The parting glass

Good night and joy be with you all."

Beth shifts her eyes over to Maggie, giving her a small smile. Maggie seemed to smile back and the two sisters began to sing together in unison.

"Oh, all the comrades,

That e'er I had

Were sorry for my going away,

And all the sweethearts

That e'er I had,

Would wish me

One more day to stay

But since it falls unto my lot,

That I should rise

And you should not,

I'll gently rise

And I'll softly call

Good night and joy

Be with you all

Good night and joy
