"It's eye catching."

After dinner, everyone cleans up their mess, wash the dishes, clean the tables. Jenner gathers everyone around and informs us where we'd all be staying for the night. We exit out of the dining area with our belongings and follow him back through the hallways.

"Most of the facility is powered down including housing, so you'll have to make do here. The couches are comfortable, but there are cots in storage if you like. There's a rec room down the hall that you kids might enjoy. Just don't plug in the video games, okay? Or anything that draws power. The same applies- if you shower, go easy on the hot water." Jenner turns away and continues down the hall. Glenn and T both turn to face the rest of us, revealing nothing but overjoyed faces.

"Hot water?" Glenn smiles excitedly.

"That's what the man said." T-Dog smirks. Both men let out chuckles and follow after Jenner. We're all able to pick out our rooms for the night. Some bunked with each other, like Andrea and Jacqui. T-Dog and Shane. Obviously, Rick and Lori together. I enter into a room and lay my belongings on the chair, the same room I was taken in when I first woke up. Except, Glenn isn't here with me. I've got dibs on the shower last. I wasn't annoyed or upset that I had to take a shower last, only a grown child would complain about it and think they deserve things first. I just hope there's enough hot water left for me.

I didn't exactly feel the need to unpack everything and place them in the drawers. While this is a potential home for us, maybe, there's still something apart of me that believes this place won't last very long. I mean, look what happened with the camp. We were living our lives, we got comfortable and looks where we ended up. We were forced to move on from camp for our own safety. I don't think anything will last very long these days.

Two knocks fill my ears and I slightly jump at the sound. I pull myself up and walk over to the door, opening it up. My expectations instantly drop into a disappointed mood.

"Oh, hi, Link." I utter softly. Honestly, it's crazy to me that I really did forget Link was unfortunately still alive. He was save during the walker attack at camp, one of the few remaining souls. I was hoping he'd join Morales and his family, you know, just to set sail and go on a little detour. But, you know, we can't always get what we want.

"Hey, just wanted to see how you've settled in." He smiles.

"I'm all good here." I nod. "I'm just waiting on the showers." I shrug.

"Oh." He nods. "Well, you know wha they say, save water and shower together." He throws me a wink. I let out a snort.

"Showering is a me time moment." I correct him. "I'll shower with myself." I pat his shoulder.

"A little-A little self pleasure doesn't hurt either." He nods. I grew disgusted with how he easily threw those words at me. But instead, I figured playing along his game would maybe get him to shut up.

"Exactly. Because unlike men, I can get the job done myself." I nod. His smile quickly fades and he nods his head defeatedly.

"Right. Yeah, no I get that." He nods. "But others can really surprise you with what they can do." He shrugs.

"I'd rather not get my hopes up." I wave him off. I turn away and walk over to my bags, pulling out fresh clean clothes to change into after my shower.

"There's also moments where two people get really drunk together and they tend to enjoy it more when sober." He suggests. I roll my eyes.

"Yeah, because risking getting pregnant now makes perfect sense." I scoff at him.
