"Only Got So Many Arrows."

We've been driving a few hours by now. It was soon gonna get dark and we all knew we needed to find a place to hunker down for the night. Not to mention, at some point, we were all gonna need to stop for gas. But we've been at it for long that we haven't even found a single gas station. How could that be?

We hear Rick lay on the horn and we all come to a stop. Glenn kills the engine to the car and we all climb out, walking over to the front where Daryl lead the drive.

"You out?" Daryl asks Rick as he marches to the front.

"Running on fumes." Rick nods.

"We can't stay here." Maggie calls.

"We can't all fit in one car." I remind her.

"We'll have to make a run for some gas in the morning." Rick says.

"Spend the night here?" Carol frowns.

"I'm freezing." Carl shivers. Rick removes his coat and hands it to Carl, Lori rubbing on his body to create warmth for him.

"We'll build a fire, yeah?" Lori confirms with Rick.

"You go out looking for firewood, stay close." Daryl instructs. "Only got so many arrows. How you doing on ammo?"

"Not enough." Rick shakes his head.

"We can't just sit here with our asses hanging out." Maggie frowns.

"Watch your mouth." Hershel calls. "Everyone stop panicking and listen to Rick."

"All right, we'll set up a perimeter." Rick calls. "In the morning, we'll find gas and some supplies. We'll keep pushing on."

"Glenn and I can make a run now, try and scrounge up some gas." I offer.

"No, we stay together." Rick denies. "God forbid something happens and people get stranded without a car."

"Rick, we're stranded now." Glenn gently says.

"I know it looks bad, we've all been through hell and worse, but at least we found each other." Rick says. "I wasn't sure- I really wasn't- but we did. We're together. We keep it that way. We'll find shelter somewhere. There's gotta be a place." I could tell with Rick's demeanor, everything was beginning to catch up to him. I knew with the drive, he was all up in his head, just as I was. But it wasn't something to easily bring up and talk about. Rick killed his a man, his own best friend, his partner, someone he used to call a brother. I could've died last night as well, thankfully, it didn't go out that way. But I knew Rick was regretful. Maybe he didn't even want to. But with the way Shane had played everything out, I knew Rick didn't have a choice. Shane was going to kill Rick. He was going to kill me. Maybe he wasn't planning on killing me, but he wanted Rick dead. He planned it. And because I was simply but a witness to the murder, Shane knew that I'd have to go too. I didn't know Otis. Shane was smart, and he knew I wouldn't have said anything, especially with the threat like that. But he knew that I liked Rick, respect him. He knew I would tell the others before keeping his dark, horrible secret.

"Rick, look around, okay?" Glenn steps up. "There's walkers everywhere. They're...migrating or something."

"There's gotta be a place not just where we hole up, but that we fortify, hunker down, pull ourselves together, build a life for each other. I know it's out there. We just have to find it."

"Even if we do find a place and we think it's safe, we can never be sure. For how long?" Maggie says. "Look what happened with the farm. We fooled ourselves into thinking that it was safe."
