"At least we know."

Once Shane and I returned back to the group, we gave them a quick rundown of why we're back and why the other three remained behind. Carol was still understandably upset, but she seemed a little relieved to know that the others are still there looking for Sophia.

God. I can't imagine Sophia's fear going through her head. I can't even imagine Carol's fear going through her head. Waiting and waiting for Rick and the other's to return with Sophia. Sophia out there all alone, probably hunched down in a bush, waiting and waiting for the others to find her, to hear her name being called out so she can make some sort of noise to lead them right to her. The constant adrenaline running through her blood as she anxiously waited.

"Why aren't we out there looking for Sophia, instead here gathering clothes?" I hear Carol ask Dale.

"Well, we've gotta create enough space to turn the RV around to head back to the bypass Glenn flagged down on the map." Dale explains. "Once we've got the RV up and running, we're on the move. We've got enough fuel from scavenging."

"We're not leaving without my daughter." Carol lightly argues.

"Hey, that goes without say." Lori reassures her.

"I'm still freaked out over that herd of walkers passing through here like a parade." Andrea adds as she tosses me a bottle of water.

"Yeah, what was that? Just marching around like nothing?" I ask.

"Herd. Sounds about right." Shane furrows his brows, nodding his head. "We've seen it before. A pack of 'em at the camp, only smaller." He says. He exhales deeply. "Okay. Come on, people. We still got a lot to do. Let's go, come on." We all return back to work.

Kira

Rick, Daryl and I slowly walk through the woods. Daryl was low to the ground, sometimes pointing to show where we're going next and when he needed to stop for a moment. Soon, we come to a complete stop.

"Tracks are gone." Rick frowns.

"No, they're faint," Daryl claims. "but they ain't gone."

"Kira, what do you see?" Rick asks me. Daryl steps off to the side and allows me to look. I could tell that Sophia's footprints were in fact faint. The soil under our feet is loose, which causes the tracks to settle down along with the ground, slowly disappearing. Another way to tell, is by the color of the footprint in the soil. They tend to be different colors. Whether it's dark or lighter, depending on the minerals.

"The ground is loose. Her prints are settling within the soil." I answer.

"Nice job." Daryl nods. "She came through here."

"How can you tell?" Rick asks. "I don't see anything. Dirt, grass."

"You want a lesson on tracking or you wanna find that girl and get our ass off the interstate?" Daryl asks.

"How do you know how to track?" Rick asks me softly.

"It was part of training for me." I explain. "Being in the city, we get called to wooden areas for big cases." We continued on walking, making our way deeper into the woods. The three of us are quick to drop down on the ground at the sound of bushes rustling in the distance. We look around and see a lone walker trailing around. Rick silently signals that he'll run ahead, distracting the walker as Daryl takes the shot. Daryl agrees and we stay put. Rick rushes off to the side, creating a wide angle and reaching around to the walker. He whistles at it, pulling it's attention. The walker growls aggressively as Daryl fires a bolt into it's head. The three of us meet together at the dead walker.
