"Considering you were in a coma for a while, that says a lot."

My body jumps at the nightmare I was engulfed in as I slept. I open my eyes and see the sun shining bright through the tent. I inhale deeply and let out a sigh, turning over onto my back and pressing my hand against my forehead. Every now and then I get that terrible dream. That terrible memory of Jack getting taken from me. Each dream that I have, I have different tactics of finally saving his life...but it always ends up with him somehow getting killed in the end. I'm able to easily break him free of the men trying to kidnap him, but somehow Jack always ends up getting torn apart by the walkers. I wish it wasn't like that, and I hate that it always comes to that ending when I wake up.

I turn my head and see that Glenn was already gone. I took that as my cue to get myself out of bed, change into clothes and head out. Thankfully it didn't storm so bad overnight and the blanket held up fairly well. Not a single drop of water in the tent.

I push open the opening and step out of the tent, moving through the path and finally reaching the others. I almost began to feel bad for sleeping in fairly late. I never really do. I'm always up when Lori get's up and I'm always there by her side working with her. But today, I guess my body and mind had other plans.

"Morning, Kira." Lori greets.

"Morning." I lightly yawn.

"Slept in pretty late today, huh?" She smirks.

"Yeah, I, uh, don't know what that was about." I sigh.

"Must've needed it." She chuckles.

"Yeah, maybe." I shrug. I kneel down and pick up a piece of clothing, helping her fold.

"Hey, Kira." Link approaches us. I inhaled deeply, already feeling annoyed with this guy. You'd think he'd take the hint that I'm nowhere near interested in him. Maybe it's a harmless little crush he's got going on. Maybe it's more. But all I know is that he's pretty annoying.

"I heard about Glenn's tent last night." Link says. "Is everything cool with him?" He asks.

"What happened with Glenn's tent?" Lori asks.

"Some animals came and torn it to shreds. Probably happened while we were all eating together." Link claims.

"Maybe." I furrow my brows.

"Oh, no. Is he okay?" Lori asks.

"Yeah, he's fine." I nod.

"Wonder where he slept. Everyone was asleep by the time he discovered it." Link says. How does he seem to know all the details? "It's what I heard. It would've sucked if he had to sleep out in the rain like a dog." Link chuckles.

"Oh, no, he slept in my tent last night." I say. Link's face falls and he let's out a nervous chuckle and his face turns beat red.

"But...isn't yours torn up, too?" He asks.

"Yeah, but we made it work." I nod. Link nods his head.

"Well...guess everyone around here wins, huh." He claims.

"I guess they do." I nod. Without another word, Link clears his throat and walks away. I let out a disgusted shiver as I felt completely and totally awkward over that whole ordeal. Don't tell me Link was internally screaming and boiling in jealousy over Glenn staying in my tent. And why even bother. Glenn and I are just friends. I guess. I mean we talk a lot, we hang out together when we've finished our chores and stuff. But nothing romantic has sparked between us.
