It's the next morning. Rick and Shane had returned back to the farm with Randall still in their grasp. It wasn't that we were all surprised to see Randall making a return. It was more of how badly Rick and Shane were both beaten so badly. Neither of 'em wanna tell what happened. But we could all take a guess that they both beat the shit out of each other. It was clear. But why? Why would they beat each other? I know they've been butting heads lately, but I didn't think it would come down to that.

We're all surrounded by the campfire eating breakfast. Rick had asked Daryl to get to the shed where Randall is being held and maybe get some answers out of Randall about his people. Taking it from Rick's point of view, if we get answers on Randall and his people, it'll give him a final decision of what he wants to do. And that means he could either let him go or kill him. Daryl had been there for almost an hour until we see him coming from around the house. Everyone stands from their chairs or shift their attention to him.

"Boy there's got a gang, 30 men. They have heavy artillery and they ain't lookin to make friends." Daryl says. "They roll through here, our boys are dead. And our women...they're gonna wish they were."

"What did you do?" Carol asks, eyeing his bruised and blood knuckles. Daryl lowers his hand.

"We had a little chat." He claims.

"No one goes near this guy." Rick announces.

"Rick, what are you gonna do?" Lori asks Rick. Rick turns his head to the side.

"We have no choice. He's a threat. We have to eliminate the threat." He says.

"You're just gonna kill him?" Dale questions.

"It's settled." Rick confirms. "I'll do it today." He walks away, Dale hot on his trail. I slowly turn my head and find Glenn staring at me. He doesn't say a word, but he looks down and walks away.

"Rick's really gonna kill him?" I hear Jack. I turn and face him. I cross my arms over my chest, letting out a sigh.

"If Rick thinks that's what's best...yeah." I nod at him. He furrows his brows.

"So he's just gonna do it? Kill the kid?" He asks. "And you're okay with that?"

"Look, if it keeps Randall's people from finding out Randall was ever here, then yeah. If it saves our asses-"

"And you're okay with that." Jack repeats. I tilt my head to the side.

"Jack, sometimes we've gotta make the tough decisions." I shake my head. "Sometimes...doing the wrong thing can benefit you in the future." He nods his head.

"I get it." He nods. "Like leaving Laura behind will somehow benefit me somehow in my future." He says. I frown at his words.

"That is not even remotely the same, Jack. And you know it. Now, you're just picking a fight." I argue.

"Maybe I am." He shrugs. "Or maybe I just wanna get back to my girlfriend." He walks off. I roll my eyes shut, pressing my hand to my forehead and letting out a sigh. What the hell am I gonna do with this kid? I've been raising him since I can remember. And most times we'd get along well. We've always worked great together. But sometimes if Jack didn't get his way or didn't get what he thought was right...he'd pick a huge fight over it. He's young. And so am I, just being a few years older than him. But what I know and what he doesn't know...I can only get him to try and understand why we do the things we gotta do.
