Chapter ASHES ONCE AGAIN

BEGIN RECORDING: TALON

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ashes...they do say that everything will return to the Earth one day either by ashes or great fire, The one thing that he was hoping that he could of got back and kept with him, he walks inside of the cargo container to sift through the ashes that lie all in the container. He desperately tries to look for something that he held dear but as he continues to sift his hope of finding it begins to dwindle. Why, why would someone do this to him?

He had nothing left anymore why bring him any further into despair when he had already lost so much already. It was when he felt something under the pitch black ash, with a small heave he pulls it out of the mound with a saddened face. The silver frame was damaged with a cracked glass on the front with a photo inside that was half burnt burning away the faces on the photo with the top side been burnt away.

He looked at it with a pain in his chest holding the photo frame to his chest as he began to whimper in silence however there was one who could hear the cries. She could only stand there horrified to see what had happened to the container that had Wolf's stuff in it, how could this happen? He could hear the sound of a pair of boots behind him thinking it was AK he placed the frame on the floor of the ash filled container and looked to the darkness of it.

"I'm fine AK...I'm fine...", "No we are not letting this slip, this is horrible!" the voice was not one of AK but of a commander. He turned to see it was none other than Leliana with her long black hair waving behind her as she took a step inside of the storage container to see the ashes that were on the bottom of it, the items that were once in there were gone... she could see that the portrait of 5 people.

It was hard to see but one of the people were still intact being none other than Wolf who looked a lot younger with only one conclusion that it was a family portrait. "It's a family portrait Leliana....It's the only one I had of my family...Mother, Father, Anders and Ella....they are all gone...it just feels...empty". The portrait falls over landing gently in the ashes as Wolf flips it over to take the photo out at least.

It was damaged but it was better he kept it putting it on his vest where he had another photo that Leliana got a glance at, it was a photo of a squad that she could only assume is the squad that Wolf and Ross used to be in. She could feel nothing but pity for the guy, the army had caused...no not the army...the people in there were the ones that ruined him as a person along with the enemy that he guns down every living second he has.

An Empty shell

"Wolf we can investigate for the ones who did-", "Thanks but... it's not going to make a difference...people don't want me here and I get it I just hope they never have to watch blood spill like an ocean, good night Commander" She looked to Wolf who puts his hands in his pockets, walking slowly into the flickering street light into the night. She looked to the cargo container once again with a bitter anger in herself but there were bigger things on her plate than to chase this.

She didn't want Wolf feeling like everything he had done for the base had been in vain, she already let him get treated like a monster before she wasn't going to watch him have that again. However this next mission was going to rile feelings inside of him that she knew that he was going to hesitate in doing it. He hated the Northern Parliament for the torture they gave them on that day trying to extract info on the Ferri.

She could remember the day when Avrora expressed her grief of what her girls had done to Wolf, the bruises and the cuts however Anders cut her off yelling at her for what she ordered on his brother, all the pain and sacrifice that Wolf's family had payed for in this hell of a war was nothing but horrible to think about and would be wrong not to appreciate the service of them but they were met with betrayal and death.
