Chapter SHATTERED DIVIDE

The four boats push forward with all they have towards the dead sea. They were not sure what they were going to find let alone the Sirens that were waiting for them ready in ambush. The planes fly above towards the dead sea, ready to survey whatever they could find in the hell hole. They hope that this mission would yield something more than blood shed and destruction, they were in need of the computer equipment to at least get some surveillance running and some other tech that could help them.

If Astra is right then they could possibly upgrade their riggings to be more stronger than their WW2 counter parts that still sailed with missing guidance systems, laser rangefinders and better defensive equipment. They were holding onto a miracle that this is what it was going to take to make everything work but they couldn't let their guard down. This place was unknown waters with the fog of war still surrounding them every step of the way. 

"Wolf what do we do if we see the Sirens in there?" Davis asks to which Wolf looked back to his friend with a salute. "We will eliminate them commander with your sortie" the chuckle and giggle from the others makes Davis mutter under his breath with disappointment. "Why did Leliana make me commander of Azur Lane? I'm not prepared for this task". It was a big step up than just being a part of Azur Lane and big shoes to fill that was for sure.

However Enterprise places her head on his shoulder with a smile on her face "Don't worry Commander we will help you out and I'll be with you at every step of the way isn't that right?" She grabs a bit tighter to his arm to which he gulps. With a raised hand he sighs eyes closed accepting the situation that he has now found himself in. "Alright Alright I guess you are right... so then shall we continue talking about the mission and not me?".

Already flustered Wolf decides to tease him a bit more "Sure Commnad-", "Shut up Wolf", The commander could not take it anymore pulling his Naval cap a bit down to block the flustered look he had on his face. Wolf got enough comedy out of that so he smiled putting his head towards Evans to see that he was looking at the open sea with a solemn expression on his face.

It still felt like the world was crashing all around him without the person that he thought was going to stay with him for life. She loved him dearly didn't she? It felt like lies in his mind after everything that Abigail did... was she really that manipulative? Sure Rhea was but her? It was out of the question but in his mind a voice talks to him telling him that he should of knew better. Why would he trust someone that was a part of the enemy forces for some time only to join back one day when Wolf was around.

Something didn't add up and the new evidence of Abigail's Older sister made it harder for him to look away at the truth that Abigail might of had him wrapped around her finger ready to do what ever it meant for love. It just made it more depressing than it had to be but he just had to accept the truth that this was the way it was and there was nothing else he could do. As the cold nights wind blows through his helmet and around it he closes his eyes to imagine a more happier time.

But he had one thing that he was glad that he wasn't in Wolf's position but the sound of fingers snapping in front of him snapped him out of the dream trance he was in as Wolf's face was in front of his friend sailing his rigging backwards. "Wakey wakey Evans, good Are you alright?" Wolf asked with a more concerned look on his face again when Evans didn't respond instantly. He knew what was on his mind but there was nothing he could of done to mend his wounded heart.

It craved a love that couldn't be reciprocated by the other person and he knew that the only cure that had was time. Time would be the one that would have to swoop in with mighty hands to fill the hole that she had left in his heart. As much as Wolf could yell and shout at Abigail for doing this to his friend it still hurt him to. To have a friend rear her head to you and not tell you what she was doing or why she was doing it.
