Chapter THE FINAL EMBER

"For a sec...I could feel like our goals align...but your nothing but a pest Wolf....I see that now....so come on coward show me what flame burns in your soul!"

Ash yelled out to Wolf and AK, the bow strings release crashing the bolts into the water followed by explosions that rattle against their metal plates, they could feel the weight of the air around them but they advance. It was no time for fear and retreat, it was time for courage and fury that would bring them to the end of the fight. For Bismarck she picks up her radio to send the news to command who reads it loud and clear.

The sirens go off in the base blearing out to every man women and child. It cried to them to seek shelter and get to the evacuation area as Griffin girls and Sector V troops direct them with a hurried pace. They could feel the fear and horror that these breaths of the cold air were going to disappear from in front of them as some hold hands hoping that Azur Lane and Wolf's team would prevail. But the sight of the camera's dampened their spirits. 

"There is no way they can fight all them off!?" Ump 9 said with a look of fear and tremble in her legs but a hand on her shoulder calmed her down as his voice came out to her and the rest. It was commanding but soothing to hear as his blue eyes and brown hair wave in the cold wind, he raised his voice over the sirens and the cries of others around him. "They will prevail...and if not we will make sure that we will go down in a fight not flight".

"Ridge we cannot fight them!", "I know... all we can do is make sure the civilians are safe and secure and hope they will prevail". The sounds of explosions and rockets thunder in the distance as they sounded like a deathly symphony as the sound of yelling and screaming could be heard on the radios, some of the girls could only cover their mouths and cry while some clutch their hands into a fist.

They turn to see the people running towards the bunkers for as much safety that they had at the base and they soon followed. Ridge knew that this fight was one that he had no clue who was going to win but he could only hope that they will prevail, that when the smoke clears and the fires smoulder the light will pass through the heavens to a dawn of a new day as the empire crumbles around the enemy. 

For the second line of Azur Lane, they could hear the cries and pain from the other girls that were fighting to stay alive with the grunts and yelling orders at each other. They needed to help them however Leliana made sure that they did not go anywhere, she knew that this was going to leave the others out to dry but there was no way they were going to let both lines fall or there would be nothing in the wake of the growing monster that was awaiting them. 

Churning up the battlefield into nothing but smoke and destruction, however the girls were going to defy that order. "Sisters we cannot let the others fall like this, I need all CV planes up in the air!" Baltimore ordered out to the rest taking up the command to which the others abided by her. It was the only chance they had at defending the place they call home and if the others were in pain they were going to share that pain.

The roar of the engines rattling of their armoured flight decks with desperation in mind, the white streaks of smoke behind the planes flying straight into certain death. The jaws of the dragon was open ready to swallow anything they threw at it, they knew that it would barely put a dint into the planes that were above but they had to try or there would not be a home left to go to. Baltimore could only look to the sea ahead holding her hand softly to her chest as it beats fast.
