The morning upon returning from the brothels, Aegon laid in a half-drunk slumber on his bed. He has no intention of getting up, despite knowing Shaera and the others were supposed to arrive that day.

Just beginning his slumber, it was when he felt someone calling his name, he groaned beginning to stir in his sleep. "What is it, Daena?" he muttered half asleep, and rubbed his eyes. He expected it to be her, after all. She was the only one who dared to wake him and she had fallen asleep with him when they returned from the city.

"What is it? What is it, you must be joking!" The voice of his mother filled his ears, causing him to slowly but hesitantly open his eyes for a brief moment, "This just proves itself. Is 'what is it' all you can say for yourself?"

"Has something happened?" He buried his face in his pillow, which seemed to anger Alicent more.

She heaved for breath as she stared at her eldest son, disgusted. She couldn't believe he could just lay there so carelessly. Not when what she had come to question him about Daena and the girl's name was the first thing to come from his mouth as he awoke.

"Daena," She forced herself to say, her body practically shaking in fury and horror, "Your brother's wife."

Aegon hummed in response, much to Alicent's disbelief. The same occurred when Daena had been questioned. Neither seemed to be the slightest bothered by being caught again. It wasn't the first time and surely wasn't the last.

"Daena. Your cousin," She continued, glaring down at her oldest son. She scoffed, noticing how Aegon only seemed to be annoyed he wasn't even going to defend himself. "Are you even going to deny it? Daena, Aegon! She was seen leaving your chambers early this morning."

"We returned quite late," he muttered under his breath. He groaned when he realized the conversation wasn't ending and turned on his back.

"It was just harmless fun. Aemond didn't need to go and get upset about it," he stressed before rubbing his eyes, still too drunk to be awake. He was surprised Daena had been able to drag herself out of bed. She always did somehow.

"Think of the shame on your wife, on me!" she shouted, disgust written all over her expression, "On your brother, her husband, need I remind you. How...How can the two of you keep carrying on like this? Especially on a day like today!"

Aegon scoffed as he sat up from his lying position. He knew what day it was but he didn't care. Rheanyra, Rhaegon, and their children were to return. With them Daemon, and Shaera, Daena's grandparents and only parent figures. Unless you considered her being warded by the King and Alicent counted. Aegon wouldn't. Viserys was bedridden and mistakenly called Daena by her lady mother's name more often than not. And although Daena had spent more time raised by the Queen than anyone, if you could even call it that, the woman hated her, solely due to the fact she was unable to be manipulated, even as a child.
